You know, it just came to me: Eric and EVS have a Yin/Yang situation going on. Their strengths and weaknesses are the opposite of one another!

Eric is good at getting people to work with him while EVS alienates people and makes enemies easily.

Eric brings his books on time while EVS is always late.

Eric is not very good at making comics while EVS is.

Eric is an amateur in the comics industry, while EVS is a veteran.

It is amazing how that works out!

Why is he so fixated on women’s hygiene, even in fiction?

One of his biggest gripes with Kamala Khan’s powers wasn’t that they were an unimaginative ripoff of Mr. Fantastic’s, but that he felt her hands were sweaty and he could imagine the smell.

He tries to paint his enemies as creepy because they don’t exclude women or female characters from being criticized, but this is the guy who flew into rage over women having milkshakes and his imaginings of their hygiene.
Given how neurotic he is over this stuff, I really wonder how he got by in the military. It's not like you can just take a shower whenever you want when you are on a mission. However, maybe this is specific to women.

Obviously, she doesn't look dirty or smelly in this picture, but that's where his mind goes.

Anyway, I don't like the idea of getting into mainstream comics with the amount of weirdos who are still in the comic industry. However, years ago I bought this one, though:

I guess Richard would see this and think "Wow, they must all smell really bad!!" But why stop at wilderness adventures? Surely all female superheroes work up a sweat when fighting crime, right?

Was able to take a skim-peek at the podawful beat down of EVS. I feel comfortable calling it that before seeing more, because early on he made Froggit shit himself for being called out as a Froggit.

Something you wanna share @FROG ?

By not having a choice. Being in the military (on deployment especially) can be very good for tamping down on neuroses precisely because you lead a fairly structured life and can't indulge this shit whenever you feel like it.

I usually don't get into this kind of nerding out but... Wouldn't Rogue's increased stamina, durability, invulnerability, super strength etc make her not break a sweat and break down or get tired? It's a fictional universe on paper.

I expect that Ya Soi Cuck is influenced by this feminist screen rant article about the series https://screenrant.com/x-men-rogue-savage-land-costume-defense-criticism-op-ed/

Yeah, I thought "If she kills everything she touches, wouldn't her teeth remain free of decay?" It's best not to get into that though, who knows where it would lead.

Well, that article was predictably retarded. Hasn't she ever seen how women in those types of climates dress? Pick up an issue of National Geographic sometime, lady. Or go to the nearest beach in warm weather, actually. Never understood how 1890s dress codes became the height of American feminism.

There is only such a feminist dress code when it's a drawing or a video game. They will fight for the right for women irl to dress in hoe ass stripper gear at 3 am drunk in the ghetto.

I like that you called him a "veteran" and not a "professional," because for at least the last two years he's been anything but professional.
Eric is more the professional at this point, Great War of Separation went from preorder to Shipping in 30 days (I think)
I know what you meant but on the other hand it seems like evidence of being good at making comics would involve actually making comics which is something EVS can barely be bothered to do.
But apparently the wait is worth it, he draws them for hours a day so Battletoads 3 must be like... 300 pages at this point

EVS was fine when he worked for someone else and had to actually be on time. There was a reason as to why he was seen as an asset when he first came into CG.

Feminists want to both dress like hoes and to slap you if you draw them dressed like hoes.

Pod Awful made EVS look like a total fool. He called out EVS on his use of puppet shows And how no one really watches them.
Pod Awful totally felted the Pie man ...... its a roast ...... never was a Pod Awfull fan boy with all the ops he pulls but this was epic ....
God damn that was a fucking tactical nuke! A complete dismantling and well orchestrated troll attack that was really well executed.

Sounds like a good one! I'll have to check it out.

Tagging @elb in case she is interested. She has EVS content on her channel, and clipped July's appearance on Podawful just recently.

Except in Chinese philosophy, both Yin and Yang are good things. Opposite from one another, but both useful depending on the situation. Yin and Yang isn't good vs. bad. It's more like light vs. dark, or hot vs. cold, or male vs. female.

What I am getting at here is if if you wanna compare July to EVS, it would be more like Yin and YUCK. :story:

EVS is a pretty good artist in my opinion, which is the most essential part of comic books as a whole, while sucking at everything else.
I laughed put loud when I found out that he uses eBay to sell his comic books. Fucking eBay in current year.

Eric on the other hand can't draw for shit but has all the other parts of this industry figured out, especially in regards to logistics, which are so far above and beyond that eBay is probably the fitting polar opposite.

They are supposed to have strengths and weaknesses just like everything else. Both started their indie comics journey with an equal amount of both pros and cons. Eric minimised his lack of talent and inexperience by using his strength in networking in order to get talented and experienced people and used his punctuality to earn the trust of the customers. EVS, on the other hand, minimised his talent and experience by being late and unable to network with people who do not worship him. His ego rose and now his flaws overshadow his gifts.

@FROG used to be very good at handling a situation like a Podawful interaction. Non-friendly debates were right up his alley, never losing his cool and taking it all in stride, but now... He might be smoking more crack than we think...

First Eric humiliates Juju, now Podawful humiliates Ethan... these past few days are as if Stalingrad and Hiroshima all happened in one week for the CG axis....

FROG has been, until a year or two ago, lucky in that many of his enemies have been mouth-breathing idiots. People like Nerdette, for example. She gave an absolutely attricious showing in her debate with him. I know, because I summarized that debate in this thread over four posts (and I am never doing that again).

The issue he's facing now is wrought by the fact he foolish decided to throw in with Juju and his cadre of vermin. All because he is ass blasted over some black guy that can manage to get books out of time.

The people that despise Juju and co are not only smarter, and have louder megaphones (bigger channels, etc), but are also far more vicious. He brought the attention of a whole bunch of people that otherwise didn't care about Comicsgate (and largely still don't).

Bad attention.

But don't take my word for it. Go look at the posts on @FROG's profile. The three most recent pages. That didn't use to be a thing. Site-wide (meaning outside this thread) the attitude towards FROG used to be either cordial, ambivalent, or people didn't even know he existed. Mostly the last one. Now it's almost universally hostile.

I fucking warned him. I might not be an expert on CG, but I do have a good feel for the site politics here.

EDIT: Clarification.
