I never would’ve thought a big company like McFarlane Toys would work with a company like Rippaverse, but I guess politics didn’t really matter in the deal.

Personally I would’ve gone with Jada Toys but McFarlane ain’t a terrible choice. I thought Eric would’ve made his own figures like most indie comic makers.

I’m currently watching EVS’s stream and I’m loving how much he’s coping about how Eric doesn’t know what he’s doing and that it won’t sell well.

Though I am wondering how this even happened. I still remember when people were complaining about how Rippaverse was just another “evil right wing comic” but it got its own audience now after all this time. So good on Eric.

Eric is in the spot CG in GENERAL wanted to be. Most of these guys worshipped MacFarlane & Image. Ethan probably knows McFarlane for decades and he chose a hippity jippity black man over the Human Shitbeam.

Todd McFarlane is a hero of mine for the way he rose above the crabs in the bucket of late 80's and 90's comics. Bitter comics pros like Peter David and John Byrne tried especially hard to drag him down, but he kept his sense of humor and left them in the dust. That's the path.

Jada would've been cool & up their alley of preferring under appreciated brands like street fighter & scooby doo. But he already had a relationship with MacFarlane.

I do hope Eric could see if he could get a toy deal with spinmaster for the child demographic if mattel holds the master license. A 4 inch playset line for kids would absolutely benefit the rippaverse and break away from the cg stigma of "its literally just the same 35 to 48 year olds from the 90s who haven't grown up".
