I heard about this video from a guy called Echo chamberlin, good channel. A little bit of a squish and dose the "the right is correct about a lot of stuff but I'm still a liberal" stuff but makes good videos.
I think he actually does have a degree of awareness when it comes to his audience. His "audience" being the 1k to 2k viewers who regularly watch his YouTube content and the 300 to 600 backers his projects usually get.
Zack didn't really ignore it, he just deleted most of the evidence of it.
Zack seems to genuinely believe that the culture war is over because "comics are good now" and the only people still talking about it are the pop culture equivalent of Japanese holdouts marooned on a remote island, unaware of the Emperor's surrender. This is why half of his current YouTube content is him glazing assorted chunks of goyslop and the other half is him chastising YouTubers who don't glaze said goyslop. He seems oblivious to the fact that the comics pros he used to shit on are either still in the industry or have metastasized into other media, bringing their gay nigger AIDS to the already cancer infested realms of gaming, TV, and movies.
Unless they changed it. I think I recall seeing somewhere that it is supposed to be a four issue story.

I do not care if he hates them, they are the ones paying his bills. If he was at war, would he say no to a gun purely because it was given to him by someone he had a disagreement with? Would he rather fight the enemy with a knife and a can-do attitude alone?

This I disagree with. If someone paid for a shitty idea by a chronically late idiot, I do not think they have much right to ask for a refund. You knew what you were getting into. He does, but he's probably only doing it as a cover for when people say, "Why don't you cover these great comics you are raving about?" while the real focus of his channel is slandering people he hates. Honestly, looking back, when he was complaining about bad comics it was probably also cover for slandering the people he hates (In thoses days people like Joe Glass, Mags, Heather Antos, etc). It's just that those actually were really, really bad comics so it worked better.
Well, if he finds raging more interesting than the so called "good comics", then he is defeating his argument.

Honestly, yeah, I believe he would. You could tell Zack his shoe was untied and instead of tying it he'd think you were calling him an idiot who doesn't know how to tie his shoes. He would leave it untied to spite you. He interprets advice, suggestions, and even mild criticism as a demand on him and will not listen to any of it.
This is exactly what he's doing. If you only browsed his videos, you might be tempted to think he has shifted focus to defending Art & Culture and the newly good comic industry from the BPCs. But if you looked at just the last two weeks of his community posts, you'd see things like Zack critiquing Tee Franklin's TikTok like anybody gives a fuck, predicting Mags will burn in Hell, and proclaiming he'd rather be dead than be Joe Glass.
Richard seems to be convinced that MGM's Wizard of Oz is a girl's movie. This shows that for all his absurd pretensions of culture he knows practically nothing about cinema. He probably doesn't realize how new technicolor was when they made it, or why the Kansas parts of the movie are in black and white. Well, I believe he's probably never seen it. It's one of these pinnacles of cinema which anyone interested in the art form should know at least a little bit about.
I think he would use the gun and then rant about it for years later.
