See, I don't believe his ego is fragile at all. I have long maintained that Zack (like many cows) has a very strong case of oppositional defiant disorder. To me, Zack blocking critical feedback isn't an indication of insecurity or a secret fear that his critics are right, it seems to be coming from his utter contempt for most people and complete disregard for their opinions. Zack thinks everyone is stupid and ugly, their opinions are wrong, and he genuinely doesn't believe it is worth his valuable artistic time to respond to criticism. His "response" is not to respond at all, and on the rare occasions he does respond, it's always with anger and contempt.

He can have more than one emotion. He is no fairy (regardless of his potential attraction to men). He might dismiss criticism but that can stem from both fear, anger, contempt and more. Fear from the failing channel and comics, anger at Eric getting everything he thinks belongs to him and contempt that people he considers inferior criticize him. There rarely is a single emotion involved in a decision.

Somewhere in the thread there's a screen cap of one of Zack's community posts where he asks for Punisher story recommendations because he's upset and wants to see "Frank turn some punks into marinara sauce". Zack's very first instinct when challenged is to use violence. Let's not forget that Zack has also said he can't watch male YouTubers because he ends up wanting to punch them in their ugly faces. This seems to be why he never engages in debates or takes part in any conversations that he can't directly control. He knows that disagreement is inevitable and he'll lose it and just do more damage to himself and what's left of his career. Remember, Zack has said he feels compelled to express his opinions and since he's too retarded to articulate them properly or defend his positions against pushback the only way he can speak his mind and not fuck himself out of a YouTube account is to snipe behind a cover of blocking and banning.

Zack's angry, contemptuous responses to criticism are him being calm and measured.

See? That is fear. He knows he is going to embarrass himself if he actually debates and thus he is afraid to do so. That fear leads to anger that he uses to fuel his rants, which in turn leads to more people calling him out. Being criticized by those that do not make comics as well as he (lol) fills him with contempt for the plebs. They are supposed to praise, not judge.

Zack is too retarded to panic, but he's also never had a reason to. He has constantly failed upwards. Things just end up working out for Zack, no matter what goes wrong.
I think he's bored of the comics thing and doesn't rely on it as his main source of income, so it's just not that big of a deal anymore. In any case, whenever Zack is wrong, he wasn't really wrong, it's all due to outside factors beyond his control. Take away the incessant begging and Zack is kind of the DSP of indie comics.

Must be another gangbang video floating around.

True but even these guys will start questioning if they will be paying for his next comic. They might not even notice it but slowly they will choose other things to spend their money on. "I might skip this one, I am not feeling it." If they subconsciously know that they will not get what they pay for, they will dwindle down on their own without a fuss. It is important for Zack to reinforce his control over them by repeating the lies but that delays the inevitable.

It took me precisely five campaigns of shite, and waiting years between all of them, to realize that the mediocre shite coming from CG was not worth my money.

My initial reaction was to feel a little bad for Fraga because he seems like an affable guy and not an overt asshole like the CG trinity and he's had some health issues but then I remember that he not only funded his book in 2020 but immediately after making his worthless "promise" to have the book out by year's end, he announces that there will be NO REFUNDS, SUCKERS. Coming up on 7 years after this dopehead wigger pulled in over a quarter million for his one and only campaign and just walked.

Anyone backing a CG campaign in 2026 deserves fleecing and chronic diarrhea.

That's how I interpret it. Of course, Ethan will probably try to spin it like he meant he hoped JDA could get more people into indie comics just as Charlie Kirk had a successful GOTV operation that got people to the polls. Though the comparison is completely retarded as Kirk was generally well liked in conservative circles and contributed to his movement's overall success on a national level, while JDA's rep is...not that.

I do, however, agree with Ethan's assessment himself as the Trump of the indie comics scene. Both men have had some minor successes meeting the expectations of their base, but seem to spend more time insulting their enemies and self-aggrandizing on camera than doing what people expected of them.

That was my interpretation of it. Trump survived his assassination attempt, whereas Kirk did not.

Matters not. Hit a guy the right way and he dies. Maybe he hits his head on the way down, maybe he has health issues. Point is, assault and battery can become murder charge in a split second. Sadly those things happen. Back in the days when Mags was writing comics as a hyper-violent transwoman, that was the norm. You could say "Kill straight people!" and they would cheer for you. Remember how Gabby Rivera was going on and on about how much she hated white people? Those were unhinged! I am telling you, it was not too likely back even then but it was not too hard to imagine it happening either. Things have calmed down now but back then, EVS had every right to fear. He is too much of a hasbeen and his opponents can mock him for his laziness now. Now, he is safe from everything with heart attacks and urinal-based bacteria being the possible exceptions.
