Apparently Evan's closet queer club had a rule that they wouldn't use kickstarter, I'm guessing due to different rules about ripping off backers. Life comes at you fast.

Well IGG and FMC won't let him get away with the nonsense he's been pulling, nor will they let him do another campaign until he fulfills his previous ones. I don't know what makes him think Kickstarter will be any different, if anything they'll put up with him less than the other two did before.

It was actually because Zack had a campaign canceled by Kickstarter many years ago, after he used some nasty gamer words. Malin threw an absolute fit, and demanded a CG-wide boycott of KS (EVS called it an "embargo"). The rule was you couldn't be in CG, or expect promotion of your project from anybody in CG, if you used KS.

That EVS is finally giving in now all these years later is funny... and probably irrelevant. Zack himself stopped caring years ago, and even put some stuff up on KS last year, I believe.

I doubt this will do anything to right the sinking ship that is CG.

Obviously, it was important to get this masterpiece out there even if he had to betray the movement by using Kickstarter.

I'm not sure if the ComicsGate Indiegogo boycott of Kickstarter was a boon to IndieGoGo or not. If it was, I think that would be the only real lasting impact.
 
With the lavish lifestyle EVS has no doubt been living in the past 5 years, how long before his lack of productivity means he can no longer afford this lifestyle?

One would have to be fucking insane to back any future campaign of his, that could easily take 4 or more years to arrive.

He’s been feeling the effects of his laziness for the past year with underperforming campaigns and having to depend on paypig superchats to break even. Honestly, Eric is the only thing keeping him afloat right now.

Pretty sure all of them have threads. Synth's is probably the most active, and I think for good reason, whatever gripes one could have with Mauler or Drinker, I've never seen either of them talk about futa with their fathers.

EVS boycotted Kickstarter because they took down Zack’s original Jawbreakers campaign and I believe they did the same thing to Malin. So EVS told everyone to go to Indiegogo and build that platform up.

As we can see, EVS’s boycott had zero effect on Kickstarter’s bottom line and Indiegogo is still an obscure funding platform.
 
I think the only reason the Critical Drinker ever comes up in this thread is because Richard C. Meyer has an obsession with him originating from the Rambo comic Drinker wrote and Meyer published.
