It's long been suspected (if not outright known) that Mint didn't understand thing one about Comicsgate, or Eric July, and that she was being used by several people.
Tbf, we do not quite understand either. Mint understands that she isn't all there. That is why she assumed that Eric did something she could not comprehend. The fact that this all started because he hurt their ego by accident is too stupid even for her and thus she dismissed it as a possibility.

What the fuck is even the critique he's making?

The worst part is even that it's Ragebait, it that the ragebait is so utterly awful. Besides I thought he was going for the TikTok crowd, doesn't he know how................
Oh....yeah.
Simple Dick
And even then it's not even a fraction of a sliver of how fucking gay American comics have been for way over a decade. Every time I think he's reached peak retardation, Simple Zack proves me wrong.

In an even worse timeline, we would see explicit cornholing in Marvel and DC comics.

YOU FOUND THE HORRIBLE COMIC I TOLD YOU GUYS ABOUT.
You mean 499? Yeah it got discussed extensively in this thread back in 2021 and 2022. You can find that via the search function.

I do like Narwhal's art style when done right, but this coloring was Simple Dick's idea and it really shows!
It's called "bisexual lighting," and he was roundly mocked for using it.

Even FROG seriously struggled to defend that choice. He advocated for Zack continuing with Jawbreakers. On occasion, FROG is right.

He's back to hating Manga again by using a walking stereotype caricature

First of all, Bon Clay is the GOAT. Even people who roll their eyes at the mere mention of a gay character fuck with this guy. Secondly, what point is he trying to make? That American comics shouldn't follow behind the biggest selling comic in the world? Beating out Superman who had the lead for decades. Sure showed the weebs, Meyer. Moron couldn't even go for something easy to shit on like pre-Blue Vortex Boruto.

It legitimately hurts my eyes. No cap.
I just say what I heard. It can work on night scenes but that is it. There have to be other colors to balance it out.

Doesn't that mean you passed the test? Not bisexual?
They call it that because it uses the colors of the bisexual flag.

Because he stands for manly values. Self-sacrifice, friendship, being yourself etc etc. Once you look to his character, you find a rather manly man. He might dress funny but he is a man to his core. Better than a marine who abandons his kids and runs away from responsibility.

Moron couldn't even go for something easy to shit on like pre-Blue Vortex Boruto.
Blue Vortex Boruto is nothing impressive either.

True, but I wanted to at least acknowledge Blue Vortex was better received

You just don't understand Meyer's genius. Killing off his star franchise and choosing instead to work on stuff like Comic Book the Comic Book is going to pay off big time

Meh, so and so. The whole Omnipotence plot has become rather cancerous. Ikemoto is not an impressive writer. He has all the flaws of Kishimoto without his ability to make you feel for his characters. Plus, the fight scenes are far worse. He made everything into DBZ style energy blasts even when other techniques would be more fitting for the character/situation. He should go back and see what moves his characters should actually use.

He tried to get the toy license for Jawbreakers. He was on the farms talking up how he will make toys for the IP. But, good luck getting a toy license from a IP that killed off its characters after an issue.

Even then, Richard talks shit about plushies despite having a statue made of Knifehand.

I forgot all about Richard's intended history of Richard buying and reading comics "Comic Book: The Comic book". There was an update to the project in January where Richard explained that um copyright made the whole project he had intended impossible. That Richard couldn't just re-draw comics pages with marvel characters and sell them in his book. But Richard is not giving up or more importantly giving back the money. The project will continue and feature even more pages of talking about reading and buying comics that can't be shown in the book.

I hope he does someday deliver the book because it will be the perfect Richard project. But I don't think it will ever actually come out.

What a dumbass. It doesn't take a birthday party clowns to realize you cannot include renditions of Intellectual property. If I wanted to watch someone's opinion on "influential books" I'd watch comics explained.

Oh, he had an ulterior movie for sure, but the thing is he was also right on that particular issue. Richard should have stuck with Jawbreakers.

Jawbreakers had the look and feel of some low-rent publisher's comic that only lasted long enough to put out an issue or three. So, really much of ComicsGates' output has that "fly by night comics outfit from the 1980s-early 2000s that put out a issue or two before collapsing" sort of texture to it.

Red Rooster had that feel too, some generic superhero title put out by some people who thought what the world needed was another superhero comic destined for the 25-cent bins of musty comic shop back rooms.

This is who the Netflix One Piece live action adaptation was actually made for.
