Richie has probably hit a brick wall where a) he finally realized that he can't use copyright property to describe his influences and b) he finally realized that he overestimated the capability of AI to produce a whole comic book just on his prompts,

So now he has to either communicate with a (ugghhh) human that accepts to draw his scribbles creatively enough to be descriptive without stepping on Marvel's toes... or try to write a non to barely illustrated essay where he describes the panflets that gave a little glamour to his trailer trash life.

So like a Marine would, he just pretends he "lost the files" and old comics just weren't such a big deal to gaslight supporters into not expecting jackshit for their money.

Most subscribers to internet creators are on average passive accounts that probably don't ever watch a single video/clip/tweet/word/photo/whatever. My guess is that at very least 2/3 of Dickie's subscribers haven't watched a single thing from him (video or post) since the Covid pandemic.

It’s funny because that’s the dismissive attitude comics were met with for years.
“It’s just a bunch of dumb adults running around in spandex and their underwear, grow up”.
It wasn’t believed by the mainstream that superhero comics could tell compelling, complex stories.

It’d be pretty dishonest to grab Squirrel Girl or Lobo vs. Santa Claus and claim that’s all the level of storytelling for American comics, and he’d lose it if you did.
Of course, I don’t expect any consistency from Ya Buckbroken Zack.

It's perfectly fine and valid to dislike manga and anime. You can even have a point. The problem with Zack'o is that he doesn't articulates his critiques sincerely or eloquently.
He could at bare minimum say that he finds Japanese media too stylized and whimsical for his taste.
But with him critique tend to be a series of gotcha! moments that are dogma to him inside his head because he came up with them on his own... "They use cutesy titles in Japan which proves they are all weirdos" "CriticalDrinker didn't mention the Romulans in his latest video so he obviously doesn't watch Star Trek" "Superman used ice breath instead of heat vision to help Batman, showing Sean Gordon Murphy has really lost the plot"

Also, his viewers trying to recommend Jap titles to the guy doesn't help one iota. YaBoi is extremely contrarian, doesn't like to be told what to do, and trying to persuade him that there may be something to rescue from the manga/anime heap is just throwing gasoline into the fire and strengthens his resolution to hate manga at any cost

He's gonna freak when they tell him that the most successful American comics in places such as Scandinavia, Brazil or Japan are the Disney Duck Comics.

A guy that sprinkles the "Unc" word so liberally on his perceived rivals and is trying to pass as totally not a geezer ought to be aware that manga is what the kewl kids read nowadays instead of that fuddy duddy capeshit.

Outside of hentai or berserk, most mainstream manga from Shueisha isn’t obsessed with turning its main characters into cucks (Spider-Man), having them get raped (Invincible), or adding incest (Ultimate X-Men). But sure, a pirate with stretchy arms is somehow more outlandish than the other three stretchy-arm heroes Marvel and DC have ripped from each other—one of whom is an industry plant because some white chick converted to Islam.
