Otherwise he's just legit crazy.

If he's trolling, he's the best damn troll I've ever had the pleasure of being trolled by. (But I have a feeling he's literally this autistic.)

As for comics, heck, movies and TV shows too, it's become about pushing a narrative. It's no longer about entertainment. If they can make the narrative entertaining, that's just a bonus in their eyes but purely unintentional.

Comics (as well as TV / movies) have become nothing more than mere vessels for virtue signaling or a method for delivering an agenda. Take Star Trek Discovery for example, the males are either effeminate, crazy, or bad guys. Klingons are supposed to be based off of Trump supporters (or how the left views Trump supporters), the lead "Michael" is a "woman of color".

Then there's articles sperging over the fact that the first episode passed the Bechel test, but we all know this was intentional just so they could gloat over the fact as if it's some turning point in television history.

It's the same with comics. Ironman is making way for some black chick, there's even been rumors that Spdey will be sporting black skin sometime in the near future.

Some of my favorite super / anti-heroes growing up were "M.A.N.T.I.S." and Night-Thrasher. (Ok, I knew MANTIS as a TV series but still.)

When they set out to create good black superheroes, they do. And I know if they'd rub their autistic brain cells together they'd be able to push out more unique and novel black characters instead of "muh diversity"-ing already white characters.

When I saw those pictures of Luke Cage in Bill Cosby sweaters pushing a stroller in a D&C video I almost shit myself. Too bad D&C makes about 35 videos a day, or I'd try to find it. And I'm not even a fan of edit: Iron Fist POWER MAN. Holy fuck. end edit. I can't imagine what a real fan would have thought.

It's not entirely unexpected. When he had a baby with Jessica Jones and Squirrel Girl was their babysitter, I pretty much assumed the character's blaxploitation roots were abandoned.

Someone please take away Gerry’s cellphone. I’m getting seriously worried about his mental health:

I imagine there's a ton of KotakuInAction regulars in here, can someone tell me who made this Rags comic and why they've been shilling it off and on for months? I assume it's someone of note because there's bringing it up like "Jesus christ, this is AMAZING! A comic is actually bucking SJW convergence!" like they haven't seen guns and tits in a book in the past five years, and the only explanation I can find besides them being tards is that somebody "noteworthy" made this and they're just trying to sell copies to mongoloids on KiA.

Rags is a zombie comic book made by a former CGer. I’ve read it and it’s ok, nothing AMAZING imo. They push it mostly because they haven’t seen an attractive lesbian in comics for years. The mainstream publishers tend to make them look as manly as possible.

heh so Netflix is making a TV series based on the very popular (and really good tbh) Witcher series of video games, which is fairly dark swords-and-sorcery in a medieval Slavic setting

well the showrunner just tweeted a selfie from the first day in the writers room and it's causing some consternation among fans

one of the most memorable quests from Witcher 3 had you literally throwing a baby into an oven, but apparently the TV adaptation is going to be handled by a bunch of writers from Supernatural and other catlady shows while they sip sparkling white zinfandel and munch cupcakes

too early to tell but it certainly has a whiff of Star Trek Discovery already

Absolutely, NetFlix is known for their pussyfoot SJW'eering. They'll ruin Witcher, just like they ruin everything else they've touched.

Damnit. Why can't they bring in the 80 year old drunk Polak who wrote the novels to handle the adaptation. :(

He's even on record saying he hates the video games. (Pretty sure he still cashed the checks, though.)

THAT would be epic television.

If I had a million dollars I'd pay to have him be the narrator. Just slurring in Polish as it fades away into the start of the show.

I'd rather they poach some of the game's writers.

Calling it now, the show is going to suck. Who in their right mind makes over half the writers women for a show where the main character fucks everything and shows little to no remorse.

Or is Netflix just admitting at the start Geralt is “problematic” and they need women to turn him into a soy boy to make the show unappealing to it’s primary audience/fan base?

A bit of an old thing, but I thought I'd chime in here.

What a lot of people, including this guy, don't realize about the silver age is that it was a time when super heroes became relatable, with issues that made them more than just the wish fulfillment of the golden age. People always categorize the silver age as "oh, you mean that one time in comics where all that wacky shit happened?". Well, that was DC, but people tend to forget about Marvel, and its work in the superhero genre. Probably the biggest example is Spider-Man. Peter saves the day and all that shit, but he also has to deal with his love life, his aunt's health problems, and just how stressful it is to be a superhero. This sounds like basic shit now, but this was revolutionary at the time. This guy owes far more to the silver age than he gives credit for.

If anything from the silver age should be left behind, it's that atrocious writing style. Even the worst comic nowadays has a better writing style than the corny, silver age "I'm going to announce what I'm doing while I'm doing it" style.

Ditto, the games gave Geralt some emotional depth. I like the books, but Geralt in them is just a completely unlikable, sociopathic cunt. Which is half the point, but it's very difficult to make a character like that relatable.

This is Dashcon levels of sad. What would a diversity convention even look like? A bunch of idiots standing around at clapping at each other for having higher amounts of melanin?
