Dude, Mark Waid is completely certifiable, and if he actually contacted Antarctica Press, he and Marvel Entertainment could face some serious legal issues. Collusion has been already proven on multiple occasions and on various levels, with the latest being storeowners, all in all, this is a rotten, incestous industry that is pretty much fucking with its customers now, in complete ignorance of the health of the IPs they work with.

This is sad on some level tbh, I am writing this with a copy of Kingdom Come on my comics shelf, I am honestly disappointed in Waid, he used to be one of my favorite creators..

Something that could've potentially been in the top five graphic novels for a month would indeed be "lucrative" to a tiny publisher. "Most of the potential buyers" you speak of are just people on the internet, it's certainly possible there are more out there since not everyone pays attention to some youtube sperg.

I get where you're coming from about getting money from idiots and I don't really disagree but you've been downplaying how sad it is for professionals to get so worked up over some nobody to the point of doing questionable acts that further damage the credibility of their business and damages their industry. Frankly I just think his comic looks like a shitty 90s comic with a worse artist and a really bad attempt at aping Ennis, tbh. He's getting a lot of acclaim for being the "SAVIOR/KILLER OF COMICS" when his comic looks... well like shit. It looks like a mediocre comic that would've gotten exactly zero fanfare if a bunch of dipshits in the industry didn't shriek at him for making fun of their comics.

#1, check your facts before spedding out, D&C, EVS..etc have disavowed Vox Day and his Alt-Comics thing almost immediately, it's in the 1st 5-10 pages so you have no excuse. 2nd of all, no one said this is going to be a game changer, ultimately it's a single TPB with no established characters made by a no-name writer. If anyone treated it like a game changer, it's Waid and co, why else would they go so fucking far to block the release of what could be a very schlocky and disappointing release? Let it fail on its own terms and gloat afterwards, but the thing is, it didn't fail. It actually succeeded from a financial standpoint, and it made their retort of "don't complain, do it better" look extremely foolish. They are extremely asspained at the moment, you can easily tell that from their frantic tweets about D&C "doxing" store owners with info they freely give out in their fucking business cards!

If anyone made D&C's career, it's SJW professionals, he was a complete fucking nobody doing bad comic roasts filled with coughing and road noise, now he can officially claim to be a best-selling author.
