I mean, Dazzler made her debut several months after Disco was declared dead, so struggling for cultural relevance is nothing new.

I feel like a lot of people were kinda soured on Kate Bishop because of the Matt Fraction run that started out promising but then ended on a loud, wet fart of a conclusion. Not only were people annoyed because the artist for the Clint Barton issues suddenly become a flakey asshole who missed his deadlines 3 or 4 times in a row (and still had the nerve to beg for ass pats on Twitter for his mediocre "deaf comic" issue), but to stall for time they started releasing the Kate Bishop issues ahead of schedule - which were not only kinda boring as she mostly just floated around LA the whole time, but at the time of the release there was a rather vocal group of (non-comic buying) fans who fauned endlessly over Kate and how "perfect" she was, and it became increasingly more obvious that Fraction had elected to listen to those fans as Kate kinda became a hug bitch for the rest of the run.

In a lot of ways Fraction's take on Kate Bishop was like the prototype for the current "millennial #woke Marvel female character" stereotype we see now - you can thank Fraction's method for censoring swear words for the " unsolicited opinions on isreal" meme that came later, for instance - since it seems a lot of nuMarvel writers decided to ape a lot of Fraction's "quirky" writing style. Kate probably never really recovered from that reputation, regardless of whether her book was still following that trend.

She’s not getting written by Gabby Rivera, so she can’t be as unlikable as in her solo series. Kelly is a C-level talent at best, she’s the best of the worst crop of writers from Marvel.

Could be the straw that broke the camel's back, I really can't think of any attorney that tells their client to do this kind of stuff. Well, other than the shitheads like Stormy Daniel's attorney where it's all a big show to them and it's about getting their name out there. He deleted it, so his legal advisor may have told him what a shithead he was to do that.
