Exclusive: Vox Day Announces New ComicsGate Imprint!
John F. Trent September 3, 2018 Industry News
We talked to Vox about the upcoming imprint to get better insight into it.

Bounding Into Comics (BIC): What kind of stories do you plan on featuring under this imprint?
Vox Day (Vox): We plan on featuring any comics and graphic novels brought to us by ComicsGate-affiliated creators who wish to make public their support for ComicsGate.

BIC: Will this be a shared universe imprint like what you are doing with Arkhaven Comics and Alt-Hero?
Vox: No, this is not a shared universe. We set it up as a means of giving ComicsGaters a means of broad and reliable distribution that cannot be shut down by SJWs in the comics industry.

BIC: Do you have any creators already lined up? Who are they?
Vox: Will Caligan is the first. We do have others lined up, but I prefer not to identify them until their comics or graphic novels are ready for publication. As you know, we don’t talk much about our future products, we prefer to wait until things are ready to go before we announce them, as we have done here.

BIC: What will the first title from Will Caligan be? Can you give us any details on the story?
Vox: The print edition of Gun Ghoul. It has done very well in digital, and we expect the graphic novel will also be successful.

BIC: Will you be actively courting ComicsGate creators or will their be a submittal process?
Vox: We’re extremely busy, so we’ll be more inclined to wait to hear from interested creators.

BIC: Will there be a vetting process for creators? For example, if a ComicsGate critic wants to embrace the movement and publish under this new label will they be able to?
Vox: Yes. No.

BIC: Will you be planning any crowdfunding around this new imprint?
Vox: I expect we will do so, yes.

BIC: When can we expect the first crowdfunder?
Vox: Not for at least two months. We’re running one now for Alt-Hero: Q.

BIC: How will you differentiate this imprint from Arkhaven and Dark Legion?
Vox: Arkhaven is for the original material that we create. Dark Legion is what other creators bring to us for publishing. ComicsGate is similar to Dark Legion, but it is specifically for creators and fans who wish to make public their support for ComicsGate. We don’t claim to define ComicsGate, we don’t claim to be the official publisher of ComicsGate, and there will certainly be ComicsGaters who will utilize other publishers and distribution channels, this is merely our way of offering our structural support for the people and philosophy of ComicsGate.

BIC: Will there be any difference in how you handle ComicsGate imprint financially with creators over your other imprints?
Vox: The publishing arrangement will be the same as it is with Dark Legion.

BIC: Is there any significance to the green and purple colors chosen for the logo?
Vox: The ride never ends.

Are you all excited for this new imprint? Who would you like to see join this new imprint?

WELLLP time to pack up the hashtag.

I glanced at the title lineup, seems like most of VoxDay's comics involve stories related to current events that nobody's going to care about in 2 years. Some of the artists look like they're stuck in the mid 2000's and could be outdrawn by the average Tumblr webcomic theythem :(

Weird. I thought Comicsgate was Alt-Right, shouldn’t they be happy about this?

Moar like Vox GAY. How fucking pathetic.

As a wannabe fantasy writer who's both outraged and heartsick over what's happened to genre fiction over the last 15 years or so, Vox Day makes even me want to strangle him with piano wire.

Looks like Alterna might be the only Indie left in a few years if they're the only one standing up against the people demanding everyone attack their customers.

Their numbers should only pick up now that they'll filter out any creator stupid or damaged enough to not follow that very simple and reasonable code of conduct policy. (or rather, the stupid fuckers will now filter out themselves, since they'd rather virtue signal and attack a succesfull indie business rather than act like a normal decent human being and get a paying job at said company)
How does someone gets comics made by people working for Alterna Comics?

This is like if all you had to do to get a job at a restaurant was promise not to spit in customers' food and these fucking tards were too spastic even to agree to that.

Try to read A Throne of Bones sometime. You'll want to strangle yourself with a piano wire in short order.

And that novel is pretty much an exemplar of Vox Day. Take A Song of Fire and Ice, set it in the waning days of a Roman Empire type setting rather than the War of the Roses, etc. Kind of an interesting concept. But then don't bother with even the most basic of editing, write dialog so painful even HP Lovecraft would blush, write page after page of tedious non-action that goes nowhere and does nothing, and call it a novel.

His attempts at Latin apparently barely reached Pig Latin level, though I'm in no position personally to judge.

I think I made it thirty pages in.

From Amazon:

"In Selenoth, the race of Man is on the ascendant. The ancient dragons sleep. The ghastly Witchkings are no more; their evil power destroyed by the courage of Men and the fearsome magic of the Elves. The Dwarves have retreated to the kingdoms of the Underdeep, the trolls hide in their mountains, and even the savage orc tribes have learned to dread the iron discipline of Amorr's mighty legions. "

The originality, she is off the charts.

VoxDay is a massive faggot who wants to hitch himself to any anti-SJW cause to make money. Except his beliefs are absolutely fucking terrible, picture Richard Spencer who actually believes Land of Gor is a real thing and should be the way women are treated, making him a massive liability with anyone who wants to go mainstream.

Also, there's a Livestream going on where EVS says he is going to protect the trademark from VoxDay, which I imagine involves a lawsuit. The other idea is to basically go 100% with it and pin Comicsgate COMPLETELY to VoxDay and abandon it completely and let that ret.arded faggot take all the heat from Comicsgate. That way when normies ask 'What's comicsgate?' Everybody just points to VoxDay.

EDIT:
It seems like Ethan is going to contest the trademark and copyright it. Because he's been using it for over 3 months, built a brand around it and now some faggot is coming along trying to associate it with them who is absolute trash.

EDIT 2:
VoxDay just went live with a stream and they're mocking him for having 9 viewers and it being them. Ethan stream sniped him and the entire chat is just shitting on him

EDIT3:
So I'm not just doing a live update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3utMhoPRvd8

guess this is Vox's "Mom says it's my turn on the hashtag" moment.

Might be getting off topic but has anyone met a normal fiction-reader who's ever even heard of him? His book sales seem pretty strong so I guess he's making solid cash, but he seems to have absolutely no market penetration or media impact outside his massive blogspot following.
