A friend likes to retweet anti CG stuff so it's fortunate that I can get the tweets almost right after they get public.

It went from "Hey, check out our awesome comic books!" to "Comicsgate are holding up a giant narrative against us!".

Oh scans_daily, you just can't help but be exceptional, can you?

CG must be totally about limiting LGBTQOMGWTFBBQ voices. There can't be any logical, tangible dissent against poorly written comics done by walk-ons who had no more business in the bullpen that I would trying to run a nuclear submarine. No, it's all racism/sexism/transphobia/etc/adnauseum...

I'd nominate S_d for a thread, but honestly, they're not worth it. But I'm tempted to roll up an account just to shit on their narrative. 'So EVS and Zack are no-talent hacks? Why are so many industry 'professionals' freaking out about them then?'.

You know your entertainment company is on the right side of history when people who've been running a piracy site for 15 years back you up.

First we had Capn Cumming burning his comics, then we had Yaboi ripping them, then Yellow Flash stabbing them, now we have KKKomixHATE Attack Dogos!!!:

I can already hear Renren getting wet and the soylings pissing themselves.
Obviously the character was meant to have an over-the-top, cheesecake design, but I do kinda dig the Sailor Moon meets Harley Quinn vibe that's going on.

The “Night Letter” rumors must be true, Frank Cho denounced CG, the same spergsthat have always had his back when SJWs would REEd at him.

Frank Cho Denounces Comicsgate – Calls it “Alt-Right Hate Group”
John F. Trent September 17, 2018

Comic book artist Frank Cho, who is currently doing covers on DC Comics’ Harley Quinn, denounced Comicsgate in a recent post on Facebook.

Cho writes (Archive link: http://archive.is/AlaWq):

“It has come to my attention from various sources that people are associating me with Comicgate, an alt-right hate group in the comic book field.

As a proud liberal Democrat, I’m against everything Comicgate stands for. I’m Pro-Equal Rights. Pro-Diversity. Pro-Comics. I always believed that everyone is welcomed at the comic table and no one group should try to force another to their idea of what is normal and not normal.

So let me be very clear where I stand – F*** COMICGATE!”

Cho is the latest in a number of comic book creators to denounce the consumer movement that includes current Justice League writer Scott Snyder and Bill Sienkiewicz.

Like Snyder and Sienkiewicz, Cho appears to be misinformed about Comicsgate believing that the consumer movement made up of extremely diverse people is somehow anti-equal rights, anti-diversity, and anti-comics. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

In fact, to show just how diverse Comicsgate really is, we asked our members what the movement and hashtag meant to them. No one had the same exact answer, it meant different things to different people.

Here’s just a sampling of what the movement means to our followers:

"#ComicsGate, for me, is a voice for a forgotten yet true fandom who still believe that the comic book industry is worth fighting for."
— The Red Pixel (@RoundUpBoom) September 15, 2018

"Giving the consumer what they pay their hard earned cash on….. Great comics and great personality."
— Bradley Golden (@BRADLEYGOLDEN4) September 15, 2018

"It means that there is a movement of comic fans that want great comics without being harassed by the comic creators for having a different skin color, sex, sexual orientation and/or political ideals. We want them to stop mistreating us and calling us names."
— RevolutionSportsCard (@RevolutionCards) September 15, 2018

"It’s a consumer and societal revolt; the majority demanding new IPs from a stale entertainment industry stuck on reboot; normal people demanding better content for their dollar and less propaganda.

It is also the majority standing up to the Marxist menace infesting our society."
— Testosterone Overload (@LeftHandLegit) September 16, 2018

"Professionalism, fan outreach, and a focus on quality content over the sort of political blatherskite that used to be the purview of Jack Chick’s “Crusader Comics” imprint."
— Pointed Commentary (@RoyCalbeck) September 15, 2018

"A consumer movement asking for quality content to be offered while the Big 2 refuse to Deliver.

Meanwhile some industry Pros understand the demand and are offering the products the consumers ask for."
— Grpeephole303 (@grpeephole303) September 15, 2018

Former DC Comics artist and Cyberfrog: Bloodhoney creator also put together a video depicting the diversity found within Comicsgate.

Not only that, but a number of creators like Van Sciver have gone out on their own to fill a market demand for comic books that readers aren’t finding at other publishers. As with the consumers in the movement, the creators are also diverse and range from folks like Van Sciver to Timothy Lim, Bettie Breitweiser, Mitch Breitweiser, Mike S. Miller, Martina Markota, Chuck Dixon, Kelsey Shannon, Jon Malin, Ibai Canales, Kyle Ritter, Donald Delay, Nasser Rabadi, Sean Campbell, Rodrigo Ybanez, Gifney Richata, Chuck Bonetti, Jacqueline Deglass, Ran’Dessha Diaz, Jimbo Salgado, Ben L. Henderson, Brett Smith, Dave Dorman, and more.

As to why people might be associating Cho with Comicsgate, it’s because the Twitter hashtag was coined back in 2014by a number of individuals who were either campaigning for Marvel Comics to remove Milo Manara’s Spider-Womanvariant cover or deriding the fans who were defending Manara and his art work. Cho would become one of Manara’s biggest defenders as he used his own artistic talents to mock the people who were decrying Manara’s Spider-Woman variant.

Obviously, from there the hashtag and movement has evolved and you can see above what it means to different people.

It appears that Frank Cho might be wildly uninformed about what Comicsgate as he is confusing it with “alt-right.” This is completely understandable as we’ve seen people like Tim Doyle, Michelle Perez, Kieran Shiach, and others work tirelessly to try and malign hard-working people who just love comics with this political label. A political label that is to be used as a bludgeon against those they disagree with and now to influence others about who the people in Comicsgate really are.

I gotta say it does sting seeing him do this but it’s better than him getting blacklisted by the industry. We’ve reached a point where if a Pro stays silent on the autism war, they’re in danger of being seen as Pro-Comicsgate.

"Going to be a long thread so bear with me."

Seriously, why is it that these guys always got to announce that they are about to stand on that giant soapbox to launch a massive tirade?

Well, if it makes you feel any better that denouncement has the stink of being written by a publicist.

"Going to be a long thread so bear with me."

So we all know to get the popcorn.

You couldn't pay me to read all that shit, Quesada.
It's just Quesada claiming that people stick to the SJW thing because it gives them meaning in their dull lives and they fetishize complaining with them but don't want to admit it. Just "no U" to the claim that they fetishize being oppressed or seeing acts of oppression.

I know this isn't the first time they've been through this thread and they could make an account, but they will also be attacked for it.
Well, if they keep shouting out the site and using screencaps from here, they're gonna get attacked anyway.

This nigga is a halaled cow we had here before, pls x-post any future content you find on him:

You know your entertainment company is on the right side of history when people who've been running a piracy site for 15 years back you up.
That has to be one of the most hilarious twists in this saga, a piracy site that robs all creators of sales and contributes to the tanking sales of the comics industry is now trying to tell us which side of this autism vortex is right. :story::story::story::story::story:

I love how Gaiman neglects to note that unlike Ewing, Gaiman wasn't given a solo book gig right off the bat. He got started writing short stories for a British sci-fi anthology book and some indie comics for a few years before DC gave him a chance to reinvent a D-list hero into his Sandman series. That is a far cry from picking up some chick off the street and saying, "Hey, let's put you on a flagship book because you've got the same hairstyle as the character!"
Its important to note Gaiman was a proper journo before he even touched comic books and wrote two books even if those books were fluff you'd buy at The Works.

Meanwhile Robert Crumb got booed by SJWs while accepting an award
