Nasser has been for three years submitting his ideas to pros at Big Two, only to be told to fuck off because the industry is too big for him (read: nepotistic). Then he went to Donal Delay who heard him out, read his submissions and decided to work with him, with Ethan and co. promoting their project.

Now he is 21 and about to be published. He done good enough for himself so far. Ren meanwhile works at accounting.

But its obvious why Ren and co. have it onto him. Nasser is Arab. Mike Miller ethnic Japanese. Bretweisers are happily married couple of comic artists. You can see both men and women. Whites, blacks, asians or arabs. Conservatives, apolitical or leftists (eg Cecil). Long-term respected veterans and also newbies. And all of their projects are suceeding. Marvel has meanwhile milkshake girls and their editorial boardroom is about as diverse as snow in Siberia, for all the big talk they have about it. And they didnt get fired only because of money that MCU is making, that fails to translate to their comic book division, which is now watered down PR department for Marvel movies.

That makes him more of a professional than the dude who works for Disney and sends pictures of his filthy, hairy asshole to random strangers to show the world the source of his butthurt.

Slight correction, a guy who worked for Disney. Currently he's with Zoe Quinn's indie project being published by Vertigo which belongs to DC.

I know I said this about Luke Plunkett's fantasies about Trump's dick, Jed Whitaker shoving controllers up his ass and bragging about how good he is at getting fucked by men, and Gabby the Autistic sped unironically calling comics nerds "Chads," but if I hadn't specifically seen it myself, I'd be hard-pressed to believe this shit actually happened.

I don't get this "you could have worked for Marvel!" argument, nobody should ever aspire to be the gnat on the elephant's back, you should be aspiring to be the big fucking elephant itself, stomping those fucking gnats.

Similarly, why should I work for someone else, when I could risk it a bit, work for myself, own my properties and make vastly more money in the process?

Like anyone can get a foot in the door at Marvel without being chosen by the gatekeepers there.

From a business standpoint, they’re basically unicorns. Whether the other fans like them is sort of irrelevant. The pour money into the game & they maintain a level of enthusiasm for the that others feed off of & keeps the morale & excitement for the product up. Not to mention that they can also bring in OTHER whale friends

I've noticed that internet atheists as well. They become a sort of secular religion. In the past, these would be the people who would be priests in order to control kings. Ayn Rand called them the mystics of muscle for a reason.

As a fan of a specific character or universe, the chance to meet your heroes (the artists) and work on official comics for that super hero (the character) has a lot of appeal.

The problem comes in when new Marvel is not the Marvel people liked. So now it has all the impact of saying "You could have worked for this shit company in a dying industry!". It's like how no one cares about the Oscars any more. It used to mean the best films, now it means Oscar bait.

I used to like Sargon, but somewhere along the line he turned into Vox Day. And just like Vox Day, he keeps trying to elbow his way onto any popular bandwagon only to get told to fuck off and that no one wants him there. What's he going to do, crowd fund a historical comic? Does he know LindyBeige already did that?

You know if it Was a PR dept it'd be making money. They really should have launched a set of comics set in the MCU and hocked the shit out of them. Instead we get "cap was a secret nazi all along!" and fucking Iron heart forcing people to be racist to soothe her shitty ego and then cap marvel as a fucking sadist.

Marvel will either get the mother of all restructures or farmed out by the house of mouse.

This I have to see. It's gonna be a hard sell, though, considering that Ya Boi Zack is already shipping product, so the "put up or shut up" barrier to entry is gonna be fairly high. No taking everyone's KS money and fucking around for three years.
 
If I were any of these guys who had just had successful IGG runs, I’d be laughing my ass off at the thought of working for Marvel or DC.

Get paid peanuts, not staff but a contractor, forced to write or draw diversity garbage, be made a laughing stock.
