Given how the naysayers said that the book would never come out, they retroactively made it a great accomplishment that will prove them wrong. That's what happens when some people are so desperate to fling shit at EVS like autistic chimps. It elevates even marginal successes he achieves. If they had just stuck to "it's late hurr durr" then they wouldn't be getting egg on their face.

As an aside, I love how you just casually think we forgot that a few pages ago you were accusing Ethan of trying to rape Betty B. You painted a picture of a slavering monster who was literally trying to tear her skirt off while she screamed and ran for her life. Why haven't you confronted him about that since he showed up? Seems like if that was true it would be THE story of comicsgate, right?

When it comes to Ethan's show I don't watch it. I don't want to hear about his pedophile buddies or creepy fuckers like Nasser who plenty of people have given their private information to thanks to Sleazy E and the spunky bunch on YT.
I heard about the hotel and the museum shit elsewhere, E posted it months after they actually went because Ethan was fucking up anyones crowdfund who didn't suck his dick.
"Watch IGG in real time" lol yeah mitch was super mad every time uncle faggot opened his mouth refunds came pouring in.
It's a fact Ethan doesn't honor requests for refunds, if he did the book would probably be cancelled.
I leave that loser alone because he finally finished the one thing he's capable of doing, drawing a comic book.

They were an offshoot/sub brand of DC. They got shuttered, same as Vertigo. I don't think people realize quite how fucked DC and Warner Brothers as a whole are right now. Everyone talks about it as a merger, but really Time Warner was purchased/absorbed by AT&T. The Penny Pinching CEO of AT&T has no real appreciation for arts and entertainment. He wants cuts and consolidation. All he cares about is bottom line. And the Time Warner and Warner Brothers execs are throwing anything and everything that doesn't have sufficient feudal protection to the wolves in order to save themselves. The former Turner properties are being gutted because they don't have anyone sufficiently powerful running interference for them. The mood is even grim at CNN. But Cartoon Network, TBS and TNT? It's a funeral. Especially the Atlanta offices. DC is facing a similar problem that Marvel faces under Disney, but without any of Marvel's built in systematic protections. Disney does not want to be a traditional "Publisher" of magazines or books. They kind of hate that they ended up with Marvel Comics. But it was necessary. And Disney is at heart an Media IP company. So they understand the need for Marvel in protecting and occasionally creating IP. They don't like it, but they feel they need it, so they wall it off in it's own little closet under the stairs and leave the idiots to fling shit at each other outside of their sight. But DC is in a bad place. Disney is at least an IP business so Marvel gets some protection. AT&T is not an IP business. And DC's WB superiors are likely seeking to use DC's IP's as a shield for themselves, while throwing the lower level companies under the bus. They are well and truly fucked.

I collected MAD mag for a while in the early 2000s till about mid-2010s. My dad mostly started sending me care packages with them every now and then but even they stopped coming at some point. I'd occasionally glance at one or two but I had no idea they were owned by DC/WB, when did this happen or has it always been this way?
The quality of the jokes seemed to have gone down, and I wouldn't be surprised if just the idea of magazines has gone away as well. In a way it's kind of relieving that they are dead, much like Vertigo... maybe it's for the best, since they are hardly what they used to be. Another victim of going-woke and going-broke.
Though on that note, MAD has always been able to get political, but they seemed to be able to poke fun at both sides, like a real neutral publication, as far as I've seen all it ever appears to be (much like Cracked) is one-sided. But, I'm willing to admit I have no real idea and can accept if this is completely wrong.

So Mitch and Betty brought me out to Arkansas a couple of times as we were trying to figure out the best means to distribute ComicsGate books. Perhaps join forces and make a company. We had meetings with various people from magazine distribution, etc, but ultimately they wanted to combine all of our IPs and share rights, something I wasn't prepared to do. Plus, I don't think traditional magazine distribution is the best way to go in this market, so I bowed out.
I made a few videos from Arkansas that got your imagination spinning, I guess.

I don't know why you feel the need to carry Ethan's water. Cyberfrog's release isn't the worst case scenario (book never finished, Ethan takes our money and moves to Montenegro), but it is the second-to-worst case scenario (book critically late, all momentum and good will lost, ZERO interest in #2).
Also, printers my ass. Unless he hired fucking Gutenberg to print this thing, it should've finished printing weeks ago.

Whoops. You're right. I forgot that in the Quasar series from 89 - 94 she was so obsessed with getting a ride on Wendell's dick that she made up a fake identity to get close to him.
Then again, with Marvel so keen to discard a character's past romances to retcon them as gay, I wouldn't be surprised if that never gets mentioned again or hand waved away.

That stream reminded me that I didn't bother with Nasser's other book because of that superchat nonsense. You don't fuck with someone else's money no matter how small it is and him apparently not getting that irked the shit out of me.
Well he is showing stuff getting printed, so progress is happening. But for comparison, it took roughly a month for Bigfoot Bill to print and start shipping looking at the updates, so I guess it takes a while depending on what printers you use. @FROG Any status update on the books themselves?

Oh I'm not gonna lie, I'm still somewhat miffed that it took around a year extra since I know that a lot of the delay was avoidable.
The difference is at the very least I'm getting it. I'm not AS inclined as supporting new projects made by @FROG because of the time slippage issue, but that it does get released and said delay also was because it became a bigger project in scope makes me at least open to future projects (like Rainbro Brute if it's akin to a Ron Howard book like the visuals give me the vibes of). As of right now, I'm probably the most likely to buy anything that Yaboi makes (so long as he has a decent artist to be fair), since he's been good at feedback, delivery, and while he had delays he always told you why.
This is opposed to some other projects I've backed, which seem to be in a morass of fucking up either due to underestimating the budget, interpersonal shrieking, or just due to creative laziness seemingly.

Which project was creatively lazy? The only one I can think of is Bigfoot Bill, which uses a lot of recycled ideas from Creature Tech. But it was well crafted including with the packaging.

I just remembered something I meant to mention. I really hate the new name for Reignbro Brute. Just "ReignBro" (or is it "RainBro" now?) is like a song without a resolution. It just kinda hangs there. Not a fan. I don't see how removing Brute makes it "safer" copyright-wise.
