The problem with Ethan is that he's an egomaniac which is why he has that rules for thee not for me attitude.
He's a great, talented dude with an entertaining schtick that I love, but he has a massive paradoxical attitude towards what is and isn't allowed in his -gate.
He's pro-Freedom of Speech but tells others what not to put in their books or say in their Discords or on their twitter accounts. He's anti-SJW but pro SJW mannerisms in expunging those he disagrees with. He's anti-gatekeeper whilst being the biggest gatekeeper in the movement.
I like Ethan, but he needs to either accept that he's a tyranny unto himself or explain the basic rules that everyone but he has to follow to remain in the community.
I'm totally an egomaniac. All artists and creative people are. But I'm the most humble of them.
The problem I think you're having is the difference between ###ComicsGate### and ###ComicArtistPro Secrets###
My YouTube channel promotes projects that align with my idea of what ComicsGate means. But it's just my YouTube channel. It isn't all of ComicsGate, and I only use it to focus on ComicsGate projects or issues. I talk about SJWs where I find them.
Frankly, I don't care what ComicsGaters do when they aren't asking to be associated with my channel. You've got tons of CG people out there running wild and free. But because my channel has proven to have the most loyal audience that will get projects funded the quickest, a lot of people feel envious of it's platform, and want to bend it into something I don't want it to be. Or feel angry and entitled to it.
My channel, my rules. That's the extent of my Tyranny, but frankly, no one is forcing you or anyone to be a part of these livestreams. There are exceptions, of course. I have dear friends that I've known for decades that I will ALWAYS help, even when they mess up here and there. I'll always forgive them and put them right again.
But I don't owe anyone anything, and I like to keep it that way.
My platform exists to help a clean and fun version of ComicsGate, one that I think can actually survive this decline, (something that 25 years active experience within the mainstream informs) grow larger and more prosperous for comic creators. And God knows I talk about my values with regard to ComicsGate on a daily basis: No one who listens should be confused. People support these books because I recommend them, and that's my gift to give. If I think a creator or group of creators can push the movement towards a better situation for everyone involved, I want them to join me.
Badly fucking up means I don't want to associate with you any more. That's my right. It isn't SJW. I don't seek to destroy anyone and make them homeless. I'm merely sad, and then keep moving forward.
I built my platform myself, with daily hard work and some help from friends like Zack. I'm willing to help anyone who asks, who has the talent to do it too.
I'm not sure what else people want from me, frankly. I've gotten dozens of campaigns funded for people who had failed previously.
I don't need to. I don't get anything out of it. But it's important to me. I'm prepared to do this for the rest of my life.
