I was keeping my eye on this project (Always punch Nazi's Vol 2) to see how well it would do. It's another enormous collaboration with 50+ people listed for 66 pages (maybe 132 if they include vol 1) and Mark Waid gave his seal of approval for Vol 1.

The number for Black Cat blew my fucking mind. Marvel was wiling to overship over 150,000 copies of Black Cat, but they couldn't drop another $2,500 to hire a decent interior artist? Who is running that shit show?

No, what's sad is that they've let King keep writing Batman for so long when he shouldn't have even made it to issue 50 which was where I dropped out. I can't understand how a former CIA agent can tell some of the dullest, shittiest Batman comics I've ever read. I was pleased when DC said they were cutting his run short because even they're realizing that he needs a therapist and they need to do some general housecleaning if they want people to start reading their comics again.

Honestly I was hyped at the begining of King's run just because I thought this was some extreme Baneposting by getting a CIA guy to write Batman. The first issue even had a plane crash. The novelty isn't there anymore.

Same here, I was excited and very intrigued. I remember reading in the newspaper for a how a former CIA agent was going to be taking over Batman and the first issue REALLY set things off on the right foot.
Slowly but surely however, the cracks started to show.
War of Jokes & Riddles was a joke to me and the only riddle was how so-called comic reviewers could be entertained by it. Every issue just left me saying, "Fuck me, get to a point!"
Thankfully it was around "The Gift", that shit story with Booster Gold where people started to see the light but for me there was no turning back.
The guy worked in counter-terrorism, wouldn't it be interesting to see Batman use some of those tactics or would that result in an interesting story that people might actually want to read?

And is she holding herself up with the sword? Because if she did fall from the cliff to stab the tank, shouldn't she already be on it as she and the weapon made impact? It's like they completely skipped the scene showing her landing on the tank and stabbing into it before it gets cut in half. This is so fucking autistic.

And how long is the blade on that sword exactly? Because judging by where the initial cut starts, that must be a pretty big fucking blade, because it's long enough to severe the tank in half, but tall enough to leave its wielder suspended above the tank's entrance.

Blue lines are used because they don't show up on a scan. That way you can do your rough outline without tons of erasing when you pencil and ink the page.
