It definitely ensnared me. I’d been following SJW craziness for over 4 years but when Ya Boi and Uncle Ethan (and others) started laying down a thesis of the infection of comics (and Star Wars and culture writ large) by far Left SJW “writers” with their pronouns and problem haircuts and everything it really captured how the world most disingenuous people could destroy a largely male fandom with their bad intentions alone. It’s been fascinating to watch. We’re approximately 2 years into this mess and it’s getting interesting. I’d say this is like Gamergate 2.0 but it’s smaller, easier to police, and has a chance of making change. The Comics “industry”, such as it was, is over #Cancelled

Seriously, why is a man that old worried about who has blocked him on twitter, let alone throwing a public tantrum over it? Very disappointed in Nick for not asking that in terms at least that blunt

I think by the time #comicsgate really entered the media conciousness and hit-pieces started, the industry itself was already dead. I'm fine with people like EVS and Ya Boi Zack and any other critics feasting on the corpse. Any notion of "saving" the industry is naive. There are too many closed stores and the SJW's are too entrenched. SJW's didn't kill it, but they've made comics industry impossible to heal.

The books are getting their Chromium covers. It's a process since apparently Chromium covers are a bitch to do and EVS didn't research well enough to have it done early. The book itself is done. He posted a chunk of it to read on his indiegogo updates for free and has shown off the Proof Copies several times on his recent streams.

TBH that seems like a bit of overkill but ok. I think the point of supplanting industry "titans" is that you should probably pump out a decent amount of quality content. Easier said than done yes, but then again Yaboi's on what, his fourth book already?

Probably is. I would haven been fine with a regular cover, but Cyberfrog is his pet project and EVS wanted to go all out for it.

Ya Boi seems to have gotten the swing of things, but he also has a team. On his third book and should be delivered in December I think

I disagree with the gamergate comparison the video game market is worth like 90 billion. GG wont kill it and its not dying like comics, for comics the real value is mining the IP's. Also GG was basically some scummy untalented women and their allies trying to grift and their detractor trying to grift as well.

The star wars thing is more interesting in that you put women in charge they have an agenda. They argue that we already have the neck beards lets bring in women and girls even though girls dont really like the product. Any criticism of the plan leads to shouting by fucking everyone. I really hate how media consumption is promoted as a moral duty or virtue signal.
 
Found another video that's shits on Anti-SJW YouTubers while he white knights Kathleen Kennedy for over 40 minutes. Now he does talk about ComicsGate, mostly talking about EVS, saying that it's a hate group that keeps out wahmen and minornities out of the community blah, blah, blah.

The wahmen and minorities criticism gets really tiring when EVS keeps getting these people funded on video.

As a backer I agree, but frankly I’m a different kind of comics buyer. I don’t go to stores, I have comics from when I was a kid, but I really enjoy following Ya Boi and EVS and supporting their work, even if it takes 18 months for fulfillment. I listen to their content everyday for free so it’s pretty much the least I can do (and it feels good to rub salt in the wound of the Mainstream Comics Industry)

Same thing happened here. CC guy merely pointed out that this is one of the reasons why Batman #75 had lower than expected numbers - it was split into two different entries. They normally don't point this out since that other entry might be very small, like 1000 units. But this time one entry had 70k and other 30k sales so it was worth pointing it out. This ir normal practice and was done back when DC would release comics with 3D and 2D covers.
 
So Clownfish TV got a chance to interview Doug Tenapel. Thought I might share it with the thread so everyone can share their thoughts on Doug's POV without Ethan in the way
