I will say I’d take manga-style slice of life over Big Two & other webcomic-tier slice of life. At least in manga the slice of life is either taken to really bizarre places or drawn in a way that makes it feel like there’s more happening even in the simplest situations.I found that even in non-filler issues of the manga I wanted to get into, there was a weird presence of 'slice of life' that American comics were probably too short per floppy in order to really get into. Well... I say that, and Marvel is probably a month away from rebooting Wasp which was like an Archie comic about a diverse group of female lesbians written by a dude with a brain tempered in soy.
Chip Z is writing a good daredevil run, it suffered from lack of a good artist for like 5 issues in the middle but he's got a really talented guy working on it again now.
If I ever see another #woke reboot of a C-tier superhero where the slice of life shit is treated as the A-plot rather than plot breathers because the hipster twitter feminist writer doesn’t like action or conflict, and said slice of life mostly consists of characters whining about bullshit while on their phones, it’ll be too soon.
