This, to me at least signals that Donny, straight and white and male, might have figured out that the future of Marvel doesn't feature him. It's about a half a year too late in my opinion, but hey, I never underestimate how thirsty wannabes and hasbeens are. I'm sure there are failures that will be happy to get along with him if they think he can get them what they want.

I actually like most of their stuff. At least their older iterations etc. I dropped out from following them quite a while ago and lets say my interest didn't renew with buzz names of the industry parasites being attached to these smaller companies like Milkshake Girl.

I am watching out for Dinesh Shamdasani and Bad Idea stuff. Fan of the Witcher and the Expanse, so seeing him getting back in comics with some new marketing and distribution method was a bit of a eyebrow raiser for me. We will see what comes of it, if anything, once this crisis is all over and the dust settles.

In releases, it looks like Antarctic with several entries such as Gold Digger and Exciting comics. Waids company also put out a comic and I think 2000 AD. DC and Marvel are going to have to move forward. Otherwise more creators will break ranks like Donny.

I'd like to personally thank Melissa de la Cruz for providing us with one of the most entertaining video's from Richard in a while, her ineptitude seems to have reignited some of that old Diversity & Comics spirit in him.

Also in the news: Mike Mignola's done a cover for Doug Tennapel, making Sean Gordon Murphy look like even more of an embarrassing cuck then he already is.

Edit: speaking of getting cucked, Fuck you king of nothing! You've gazumped me!

I'm sure Mignola could give a fuck, he may be an annoying lefty, but he has fuck you money.

The plus side in these troubling times newsprint makes much better asswipe than glossy paper. Alterna comics are boring as fuck and practically unreadable. Almost all of the skilled creators who originally published with Alterna have jumped ship. I don't blame them Semeti is a bitch made crybaby no one wants to work for a guy who pays you in exposure.

If Mignola never responded to not giving credit to one of his collaborators for the movie or whatever it was, which I don't think he did, I doubt he'll respond to any of this.

I like Mignola but all of his covers look the same and have the exact same composition. His Earthworm Jim cover, I'm sorry to say, is downright ugly. It needs some kind of texture in the coloring to help it. Regardless, it's still a good selling point.

Its pretty crazy, his beat Bloodhoney in less than a day. With Todd doing this well I think a lot of other mainstream creators will definitely start looking at crowdfunding as a potential future for comics. Ethan, Doug and Brian Pullido's campaigns probably peaked their curiosity but by the time this campaign ends I think we'll see a lot more.

Its currently trending 3.3 million on backerkit, but in my experience those estimates are always too high.
