when Ethan tried to hire Dave Sim his pedo past came back to haunt them.
Fun Fact: Dave Sim is probably bipolar or schizofrenic, a far right MRA proponent, volcel, misogynist, fundamentalist and general maniac. His grooming is icing on the cake.

And he is also the proto-SJW. He was throwing parties in conventions, was suggesting everybody to self-publish in the 80's-90's and was all for creator rights. He was a dog too (before he embraces Judeism, Christianity AND Islam and denounced sex), sleeping around (he was banging Karen Bergen back in the early 90's - and she was editing his comicbook) and he turned his Conan parody into a super autistic exploration of... dunno.
He was also infamous for starting fights with other pros, alienating readers, adding his politics to his comics etc.

and he was a major influence for Neil Gaiman and probably a lot of the 90's guys.

So yes, the first "SJW comic pro" was a far-right nutjob. Let this sink in...

He could have told you "hey I cant work on this project anymore because I'm making a deal with allegiance arts and it has an NDA plus its an exclusive contract, gotta go with money over friends, got bills to pay etc."
I don't think it's an exclusive contract. Kelsey has worked on other projects like Cecil's since.

It doesn't help when you're known for happily sharing everyone's private conversations publicly. Why would anyone talk to you period?
Sharing DM's has been acceptable in CG so long as they made someone outside CG look bad all the way back to Ethan sharing Fag Waid's "FIX THIS NOW!" email.

"Why would anyone talk to Ethan period?" Nasser got fucked over for time and money and shared the DM's. Ethan got momentarily sperged at by Waid and shared it with the world for no good reason.

You just described an asshole, not an SJW.

Dave Sim is a lot of things but he's no intersectional, progressive neo-Marxist blue hair. He's just a prick.

Chuck Dixon refused to work with EVS,

Chuck never, ever refused to work with me. In fact, he was very interested in working for me.

You knuckleheads just make stuff up.

I forget, was sharing private correspondence a beyond the pale when you made a video out of Douche Waid's angry email?

Hypocrisy, thy name is Ethan.

If you had any standards you'd never meet them @FROG.

Really Ginger Snaps? You take your biggest L and you still think that shilling your crappy plastic statues will get you points?

Have you heard of Steve Kiwus? https://steve-kiwus.squarespace.com/digital/2019/4/20/sheena-of-the-jungle-statue-1
8 ball.png

Some guy that does PVC statues...that has done work for Dynamite...who's 3d file style almost fits to a T to what you have shown... considering that all you can do is steal from others, Ginny. I think this is the guy that you are hiring for your "toys".

I guess you never read my post. And SJW-ism has little to do with politics. They are just an excuse for being a righteous prick.

EDIT: and this video just came up in my suggested: https://youtube.com/watch?v=BqS2vfWFYSI
I read it.

A social justice warrior is a distinctly political beast. They trade in identity politics, intersectionality and left wing ideology. Social justice is an old political term and it's warriors like to say that the personal is political.
1595452228616.png

1595452172769.png

Ethan is a SJW because he trades in intersectionality when it suits him like when he threw Doug and Mike under a bus for the intersectional Gay Pride movement or Nerkish for what other people might say on his Discord. Dave Sim, last I checked, was anything but a guy who'd attack someone for politically incorrect speech like Ethan did.

Dave Sim might be an cunt but he's no "proto-SJW".

🐸 🤷‍♂️ :optimistic:

It doesn't help when you're known for happily sharing everyone's private conversations publicly. Why would anyone talk to you period?

After cg has tarnished his name over bullshit I don't see the issue with him coming out to set the record straight.

Really Ginger Snaps? You take your biggest L and you still think that shilling your crappy plastic statues will get you points?

Hmm, dynamite making the same statues that is described in the cyber frog campaign? Like the Kennedy half dollar coins?

More like frog using the same guy that Dynamite uses.

in other news, Jon Malin has launched Graveyard shift III. Dude is has sunken to a new low of lazy by having another person do the interior art. 50 pages for $25, ouch but if the paypigs want to throw their money, who am I to stand in there way.

So Malin isn't even credited as a writer? He's farming the whole thing out this time. CG has reached a new level of laziness when professional artists hire other artists to do their work.
It currently sits at about average $115 per paypig. Thats approaching Van Sciver levels of grifting right there.
Meanwhile as my LCS there are hundreds of long boxes full of $4 back issues that it would take more than a lifetime to read. For that same $115 bucks I can get enough comics to last as reading material for weeks.
Again, sadly, this ain't about good comics. This is about simps paying yt personalities way too much money for a product that takes way too long to produce.
The good news is since Malin isn't actually working on anything and is being paid not to work he can spend a lot more time on the tube talking about wolf jizz or whatever.

Time for another Comicsgate News Update

FROM INDIEGOGO AND KICKSTARTER
Jon Malin has just launched his third installment of the Graveyard Shift series, the project has already raised over 40K in the space of a few hours.
GYS3.PNG

Curiously though Jon's name is absent from the artist credits on all the books offered. With art on Graveyard Shift 3 being done by Aaron Alfeche, Rob Willis on the supplemental story RUINER, Joe Ball on the supplemental story NIGHTWALKER and Keung Lee on the Lil Graveyard Shift Ashcan.

Despite this shocking revelation, Jon appears to be offering value for money for his backers with the Blood Bag perk, which offers all three Graveyard Shift books and the Supplemental for $75 at 186 pages. While not as generous as other crowdfunders like Tim Lim or Doug TenNapel, this reporter must admit that it is a step in the right direction in offering cheaper products to customers. I base this information on the fact that all previous offerings of Graveyard Shift were $25 each, so it would be like receiving the Supplemental book for free.

There is also a Secret Perk for backers who signed up to the mailing list which offers a $55 saving on the "Creators Signature tier."

Curiously the Creators Signature Tier and above are the only tiers to receive a signature from both Mark Poulton and Jon Malin, while the lower tiers receive only Poulton's signature. The campaign also appears to be a hybrid of the first two Graveyard Shift campaigns by continuing the "Lil Graveyard Shift" ashcan story available in the first campaign and offering a Supplemental book similar to the second campaign.

Continuing the trilogy theme, Tim Lim recently launched Black Hops 3 bundled in an Omnibus on kickstarter. Lim offers a digital Black Hops 3 for $5, a digital Omnibus of all 3 for $8, a physical comic book of 3 for $10 and a physical Omnibus for $20. The Omnibus contains over 200 pages of content and is by far the most value for money backers could receive with a rate of 0.10 cent per page. The campaign itself currently sits at over 14K on its first day of earnings, which could be a new record for a Tim Lim crowdfunded book.

Further continuing our theme of trilogies Preston Poulter @PocketJacks also released his third installment of Guinevere and the Divinity Factory on kickstarter, making this the third example of a third installment in this very post. The campaign features a limited number of variants with cover art done by Miss Sashi, who as always produces some errr stimulating work.

FROM THE TWITTERVERSE
Returning from a self imposed exile after the recent revelations of his past sex life, Preston Poulter fired a number of salvo's against Comicsgate using the recent confessions of one Ro Kabir on a recent Dlive stream.

In this first tweet and clip Preston shows what Ro and Warcampaign by extension think of TUG and his recent coverage of the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard story.
Tug1.PNG

In a second tweet and clip Ro confirms what many were speculating, that the order to exile Mike S Miller over his "pride is a sin" tweet came from Dynamite rather than from Ethan himself.
MikeWC.PNG

Mike S Miller appeared in Preston's comments and had this to say:
mikeresponse.PNG

In the third and final tweet Ro admits that maybe the SJWs may have had a point about Ethan. Ro even calls Ethan a liar and claims Zack is apathetic to Comicsgate's problems. Ro also claims that Dynamite reached out to offer Gat Hanzo a writers position on an upcoming Vampirella anthology book.
DynamiteGat.PNG

These latest tweets and clips are reminiscent of Poulter's popular weekly Comicsgate news show "Last Week in Comicsgate" which has been on hiatus now for several months. Could these latest tweets and clips be a signal that Preston is planning a triumphant return to form? Stay tuned and we'll have to wait and see. Personally I hope so because it would make my fucking job so much easier, who has the time to actually sit down, watch, clip and catalog all this fucking bullshit.

FROM YOUTUBE
The amazing, spectacular, terrific, the great one, the peoples champion, your host - The Hut recently uploaded a video covering the ongoing Cecil and Dynamite drama.

Previously the Hut had also uploaded a video claiming that Red Rooster and Stealing Solo, two controversial Comicsgate books were endorsed by none other than @FROG

That Umbrella Cuck Guy also took time off from spamming youtube with Johnny Depp videos to cover the Dynamite/Cecil situation.

As did every bodies favorite best boi Zack

And your ole buddy Rorshach

Thankfully Yellowflash spares us covering the Dynamite drama by reporting on a new addition to the Marvel universe, Captain Marvels alleged half sister.

And Clownfish TV takes a break from the Dynamite story to talk about IDW's boss Chris Ryall quitting the company.

Well that's all the time we have for our news update today. Obviously Cecil's cancellation by Dynamite seems to still be the hot topic being covered by everyone within Comicsgate and The Fandom Menace. There were plenty more reactions from the likes of That Star Wars Girl, Nerdrotic, Doomcock, Clownfish TV but it all gets a bit repetitive after a while. The reactions from The Comicbook Hut, Rorshach, TUG and Zack should offer enough different perspectives from various people within and without Comicsgate.

As always stay safe out there kiwi's and get comfy as the world around you burns to the ground. :bluelabel:

EDIT: It would appear that @SuiSui1 beat me to the punch on the Graveyard Shift 3 news, typing up this shit takes too long. Also added the best picture I could get of the Supplemental cover to the GYS3 story.

So Ro Kabir confirmed what I've been saying about the whole "Pride is a sin" tweet for months; that *gasp* Ro and Cecil did not actually care about the LGBTQ+ cause they pearlclutched about Mike impugning. That, in fact, they were looking for anything to throw at Mike because of a pre-existing conflict between the two parties, that he was trying to cancel them. Which is true, in that he was against WC having the ability to kick people out of Comicsgate, which is tantamount to cancelling them. But Frog has been here for months trying to argue that these concerns were sincere and heartfelt and that he wasn't a sucker who bought into one of the most obvious smear jobs in CG history. Good thing Ro went on video to clear all this up.

Amusingly, Ro implies and Preston runs with the idea that Frog "called for a hit" on Mike on orders from Nick Barrucci, which flies in the face that Frog only weighed in six days after Ro and Cecil started howling about Mike's "homophobia driving away customers". Why did Nick Barrucci allegedly weigh in on the Pride tweet? Possibly because of the outcry made by WC and Cecil? It takes huevos to accuse other people of being SJWs for running with your narrative, even funnier that Smiller goes along with it.

If I can't ask who the fuck is Cecil, can I ask what the fuck is Cecil? Is he a grifter or a tryhard troll? I doubt he's pro or anti CG with how much he badmouths everyone but I'm reading and hearing a lot of conflicting things that I can't care to decide on an emotion anymore. I do feel a little bad for Dynamite though... Just a little.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but Todd McFarlane, creator of Spawn has a documentary premiering on Syfy this Saturday night. Based on the preview video, it could be worth a watch for everyone in or out or wanting to make comics but something is standing in your way.

Ethan Sciver is the cancel culture now?

I found a sneak peak of Dynamite's next cover:

He started off as a comic book critic youtube channel, and was doing satire of Yaboi Zack's schtick. Pretty understated, tongue-in-cheek humor and he had a regular bit where he would compare two comics and feed the losing one to the shredder. He eventually made it on as a guest to some of the shows that EDVS was also on and Ethan hated his guts before finally coming around to his humor. Mayhaps it was calculating after fans had a positive response to him. As a reward for being constant free talent for CG streamer shows, he was promised his own comic book project that he would handle the writing for, but there was a fallout with Ethan, War Campaign, Tim Lim and the cocreator Nerkish, so Cash Grab got put on hold for a year.

Cecil always resented Doug for being a practicing Christian and wanted him gone from the get go. It was War Campaign and Cecil that burnt the bridge after Doug said he needed to do the EarthWorm Jim comic on his own without association to controversial groups. Earth Worm Jim was the only project Doug needed to do on his own, but they told him to eff off and not to come back, convinced Doug had now given up on the Comics Gate Bigfoot Bill franchise now that he had Earthworm Jim. A mistake on their part as Big Foot Bill 2 would have helped legitimize CG.

Strange enough, Cecil and WC never gave Mitch and Kelsey shit for forsaking CG and CG backers in order to secure the Walmart Deal.

So cg can stop bitching about Doug having a penciler.

It was Ridiculous. Richard Meyer hasn't written every part of Jawbreakers, and he only did the art for a third of the first one. He brought Chuck Dixon on for part of book 2. And Chuck is writing most of Expendables go to Hell.

Doug wrote each of the books himself, designed all his characters, the 30 pages of pencils that he didn't do (out of 160), he still inked himself. And all of his books have come out on time.

I always thought the pride is a sin thing was weak level trolling not worth anyone getting their panties in a bunch. And I've yet to see these Comics Gate 'fans' who cared about it, like rank and file fans, not youtube d-list celebs. Always seemed like a pretense and who cares if someone is a Christian or not, look at stats, odds are you are going to meet someone who believes in some kind of 'God'. Bottom line, Frog tried to control all aspects of Comics Gate as a brand and its impossible to do with all these weirdos and contracting actions that went on.

Graveyard Shift 3 is the only campaign I've seen so far that has been carried by its secret tier.
So far the equivalent tiers (Blood Bag + Ashcan + Sketch and Creative Signature) have only sold 4 and 5 respectively to the 263 sold on the secret tier. It's difficult to compare because GY3 is the only CG campaign that offers the creator's complete work on the franchise: Zack's selling copies of Jawbreakers: Lost Souls for $100 a pop on his IGG and Frog isn't printing new copies of Bloodhoney to go in his Executive Honeycomb set. Most CGers haven't produced enough work to have anything even approaching a "franchise".
