Since Cummings initially bitched out on EVS back in 2018, I have been unable to determine the motivations behind anything he does. This is an offshoot of the argument I posted earlier.

These numbers are wrong. For a time (maybe they still are) DC was releasing two different versions of the same comic at different price points because one of them had cardstock covers or something like that. For example, your lowest King's issue, #76 actually sold 84,879.

At later time they changed the reporting by automatically fusing these different releases, but you can still split them to see how they look. For example here: https://www.comichron.com/monthlycomicssales/2020/2020-03.html click "Fused" header and you'll get two listings for Batman #91, one with 66 thousands and another with 22 thousands.

All anti- movements tend to split up as soon as they get some traction, because people got in against something, not towards a goal. At some point, goals diverge and intermovement tension ensues

People who bond over hatred of something have no goals they'll ever achieve together besides trying to take out the object of their hatred, or destroy each other in frustration when they fail to do so. Everything else is secondary.

I'm pretty sure they're all gonna be acting like "we were never a group, we were never together, we always didn't like so and so, we knew and suspected so and so" now. Funny, this is also how WC is trying to excuse themselves now. This is why internet movements have, and will always be, gay and autistic.

IIRC, part of that is because Claremont is under a contract with Marvel that keeps him from writing anything. Not that I really liked X-Men Forever, but I think I'd take that over whatever the hell is up with the current X-Men.
 
Alright, I've been reading some old stuff, for the most part, but I heard Marvel got their shit together with their "A Fresh Start" relaunch that has actually stayed in place since the latter half of 2018. Is this true? Cause I read the first 5 issues of the new run of The Amazing Spider-Man by Spencer, and it, alongside the Mary Jane stand alone series seemed to communicate to me they've cut back on the pandering, (downright offensive at times) forced diversity? Cause even Willow Wilson admitted that stuff didn't work if you forced it, which is probably why Kamala Khan is still around and Chavez got pushed into a box, never to be seen again.

A publisher offers you money for nothing to help you out when you're in a bad way, & you throw them over to the woke crowd because they have cooties from someone you don't like? Chavez got binned because Gabby Riviera made that character poison. There was nowhere to go with her and just having America in a book was going to be a hit to their already-fragile sales (and guarantee mockery). Before The Coof, there were plans for an America Chavez mini (notably without Gabby involved) that I think was going to be an attempt to course-correct but who knows if that's ever going to happen. Personally, after the original creators for America went to Image and basically remade her there, I'd just let everyone forget about Chavez but Disney probably has some ridiculous idea for her in the MCU.

But for the coof she'd be back already, by Disney mandate, because she's going to be in Dr Strange 2 as part of the new 'MCU Phase: Woke', along with Ms Marvel who's getting her own show.
Nobody could figure out how Captain Marvel dodged cancellation with such poor sales, until the movie was announced and it became clear that Disney had wanted the character pushed hard regardless of sales.

He went from being a key figure in a consumer movement to being eclipsed by mainstream figures cashing in on a movement he helped start. Add to that he's a hot head who holds a grudge together with @FROG trolling his enemies thru proxies like WC and CG and its not hard to figure Cummings out.

It's a shame, cause I heard she was an OK character prior to Marvel using her in the way they did, much like Ms. Marvel before she became Captain Marvel, and they shilled the ever living hell out of her. I know Carol Danvers was always a flawed character, but from what I can tell, she was an interesting one that was decently written, even if she was in the background. Ever since 2012, though, she's just become Marvel's Female Superman, which is stupid, since they already HAVE a Superman equivalent, possibly multiple; but I guess they needed to needlessly change a character and shill her so much that her reputation is now ruined. Couldn't just make more good She-Hulk comics or nothing, nope. Seriously, she doesn't even feel like the same character nowadays. I know she was literally raped in Avengers #200, but now it feels like she got a lobotomy 8 years ago and just never was the same person after.
