DA Talks and I had Tim on stream at the end of July. Since then he's been on with Doug TenNapel, once. Pellegrini streams once a week on The Bunderdome and talks about TV shows for an hour. The last one was about Neo Ultra Q.
Despite what @FROG says, constant live streams are not a substitute for excellent product and customer service.
@FROG wrong about some things, but right about streaming. In crowdfunding a large part of success is engaging with backers and gaining their confidence. Lim's done that, Richard stopped. He's spent, what, the last six to ten months relying on Frog to platform him and help him engage.
Making this bad idea worse is that Richard's audience isn't 100 percent Frogs. There are Frog backers that are art people and won't pick up some offerings like Iron Sights. The converse is, Richard had people who like him but loathe Frog. By not engaging in live-streaming he avoids some tough discussion at the cost of these people being less connected to him.
Livestreams are the marketing arm of a comic book crowdfunder. They get the word out to the most possible people.
From there, an excellent product and customer service takes over.
Livestreaming isn't a "substitute", it's the engine.
When those fellows were on ComicArtistPro Secrets, they raised $76,000 on their Space Trump book. That was a TRUMP BOOK. They haven't duplicated that feat since.
They'd hit six figures on a boobie book if they adequately promoted it.
No, you are just protecting comicsgate...
they are good enough for floppies but not for GNs.
You will be hard pressed to find worse art in a space GN...
You think going away from GI JOE clone will help? He cant go full Pulp comic, naked tits are evil in the US...
There are far too many successful campaigns (Brian Pulido for example) that don't have the "YouTube presence" for that crap to fly.
Yeah, Chuck Dixon being on that book had nothing to with those numbers. ComicsGate and livestreaming has done nothing to promote that book since 2018 and it's still in print. Matter of fact, I could get it on Amazon today.
BTW, Kamen America 2 in on track to surpass that number without you or constant livestreaming.
Without a doubt. But as Doug TenNapel himself said on a recent episode of the Oz Show, trying to purity test a crowdfund over the politics of their printer or payment processor or every party involved in its creation is futile; IndieGoGo also donates to progressive causes. If your standards for CG are impossible to carry out in reality with, what value are they? Not even getting into how every boycott Comicsgate has ever attempted has failed miserably in achieving its goal.
No Way.
YBZ was born to do a GI Joe-meets-Expendables-meets-Marvel-Knights comicbook. I believe he should focus there, his tangents don't work because he is too American to pull them off. European Adventure comics do not necessarily have tits (say, Tin Tin, Corto Maltese, Bonneli comics that are not Dylan Dog) but they have a sense of exitement, good old storytelling, twists, turns and engaging characters. YBZ does some of it on JawBreakers, probably through osmosis, but his other works fail to grasp that good fun stuff.
To his defense, most SJWs that try to rip-off the greats of the British invasion fail in similar ways. They focus too much on the trappings of their "subversion" and miss the heart that beats underneath it.
Brian Pulido ran CHAOS COMICS for a decade, training a devoted fanbase to purchase exclusive rarities and gimmick covers, amassing a following that was competitive with IMAGE COMICS.
He's nowhere near that big now, obviously, but many of those fans have remained loyal. He stays in close contact with them via social media and email lists, and is able to spin out consistent $300K+ crowdfunders for Lady Death campaigns.
He doesn't grow. He doesn't shrink. His fans stick around.
Balls. Pulido's first Kickstarter had a thousand backers. and made less than 80 grand.
His latest campaign has three thousand backers and has made five times as much.
He's the godfather of crowdfunding, and doesn't bother with YouTube, and it's not just his 'old fans'. He makes new fans every year and with every campaign. Stop acting like you know everything about crowdfunding. You lucked into a YouTube audience and have used them to great advantage, but you didn't invent crowdfunding comics, and you don't have a replicatable business model. You caught lightning in a bottle. Congratulations. Stop trying to convince anyone else they can do what you did.
Blasphemy! Just toss out your self-respect and dress up like this on Youtube for the 1,500 grown men out there who still play with dolls! What are you, lazy or something?

He didn’t beat anything. He disputed the claim, and Youtube pulled down the strikes temporarily barring legal action by Liam. Youtube doesn’t pursue copyright claims once the other party disputes them.

Yes, seems they called Liam's bluff. Does Liam spend the six-plus-figures pursuing it? How does it look when he doesn't? If he does and loses, what then? The US has strong Fair Use provisions.

Well looks like todays subject will be Brian Pullido, fuck this is going to take a while...
*Price = the lowest physical tier available.
*Price per page = the lowest physical tier and includes bonus pages, comics and ashcans to the total.
*Funding/Backer = the average price paid per backer
*Campaigns are listed in chronological order
*Due to Indiegogo's system, shipping is included in the funded amount and final amount.
*Due to Indiegogo's system, backers buying multiple tiers during a campaign are considered multiple backers.
*Kickstarter results do not include shipping in the funded or final amount.
*Kickstarter backers are per individual backer and not by tiers like Indiegogo.
Instead of grouping all the books together like I did with Zack and Tim, I'll separate them into titles since the sheer number of Brian's campaigns will make it near impossible to analyze without going cross eyed.

(*) Assuming the Collection was backed at the highest tier for $200 to receive all 10 books.
SUMMARY:
* Brian Pullido experiences a growth in backer numbers consistently except from Lady Death #1 to Lady Death #3 and from Lady Death #10 to Lady Death #11. Each campaign despite the drops in backers outperforms the next in terms of funding amount.
* Brians price per page ranges between a high of 0.50/page to 0.18/page. This varies depending on the stretch goals offered for example, page increases, bonus ashcans, bonus black & white variants and lingerie editions.
* Though not reflected in the data, every physical perk also contains a digital copy and free domestic shipping.
* The average funding per backer has been increasing as backer numbers are increasing, eventually this will level off or Brian may experience drops in backer numbers.
* The price of Lady Death has increased from $20 to $24 to $26 across the twelve titles.
* The large majority of Brian's campaigns are on Kickstarter which offers a more accurate account of numbers as unlike Indiegogo, Kickstarter does not include shipping in the campaigns total or count multiple perks as multiple backers.

* Similarly to Lady Death, La Muerta also increased from $20 to $24 to $26, it also features a digital version for every physical and free domestic shipping.
* It has also consistently increased in backer numbers, except from issue 1 to issue 2 which decreased slightly. The funded amount has increased with every campaign.
* The price/page is worse than Lady Death, probably due to a lack of bonus books eg: black & white editions.
* Again the average price a backer spends increases every campaign, except from #5 to #6 where it decreased very slightly.

* Hellwitch also has increased in both backers and funding, although with only two issues it is hard to establish any trends.
* The price began at $24 and was also increased to $26
* The price per page is lower than La Muerta and Lady Death on average, this is probably due to increases in page count or bonus comics.
* Again Hellwitch comes with digital copies for all physicals and free domestic shipping.
FINAL SUMMARY TLDR VERSION
* Overall all of Brian Pullido's different titles are growing in both backers and funding amounts, aside from slight dips in the Lady Death and La Muerta series.
* Brian also crowdfunded a book called "Zack the Zombie Exterminator" in 2015, after Lady Death #2. It was a one shot and not in any of the other series so I left it off this table. It raised $25,846 from 592 backers.
* Brian seems to exclusively use kickstarter for his campaigns aside from The Lady Death Collection which was on Indiegogo, similar to Tim Lim he also has his own website Coffin Comics to sell back issues so he does not require Indiegogo's In-Demand feature to be used as a store front.
* Overall Brian's price/page is not the best with between 0.20-0.30 being reasonable, sub 0.20 being good value and below 0.10 being an absolute bargain. The higher price/page rate could be offset with the mountain of stretch goals offered, free domestic shipping, a digital version with each physical and your choice of signatures at no extra cost. These perks are hard to represent in the overall data however.
* The most curious point is how backers are increasing each campaign, yet also the average backer amount is increasing. I imagine this will either level off at some point or Brian might start losing backers and begin stagnating in terms of backer and funding growth.
I didn't pitch anything into Malin's campaign except that I backed it when it launched as usual. This time I did a cover, and Malin insisted I get paid for it. I said I'd take a small percentage of my cover's earning if his campaign passed a certain funding threshold. I have absolutely no incentive, therefore, to "pitch in thousands of dollars" when I'm actually trying to make money for myself.

KS includes the shipping in the total as well, I believe, except when you have a $5 digital tier. And if Zack had that like KA2 has, he'd double KA2's backer count.
The topic about whether or not livestreaming is essential or not aside (let's be honest, this is a stupid topic to talk about and there's more factors involved, and obviously it's escalated to people trying to dunk on @FROG for something he can come back with as well).
What I want to genuinely know is, @FROG , why did Zack not say hi to ComicsGate?
