Does Jon Del Arroz not count as a fabled "OGCG" alumni? Because he's saying that making videos detailing the problems/fixing Batman or Spider-Man is a lost cause at this point and amounts to the deluded cope of untalented gammas. SWC have also been very critical about the real point of continuuing to pay people who hate you for the privilege of criticize "capeshit", even going so far as to say Ya Boi Zack paying for Mark Waid's comics at this point amounts to financial cuckoldry. To quote Frog: "Marvel and DC listened to what you had to say. Loud and clear. And then they changed nothing."

In this case, JDA caught wind that Douglas Ernst was spreading dirt around about JDA in DMs and discouraging them from streaming with him.
He took this information to Preston Poulter, who did not feel inclined to take up arms against Ernst. Rinse and repeat with Cummings.

I have some dms to share between @FROG and @Fathead.
Two takeaways from this.
1. donal admits "I just like making him sweat" which mean she could have paid me at any time, but would rather incriminate himself.
2. donal talks about needing to "transfer money", but I've worked at a bank, and if he's transferring between accounts at the same bank, the money transfers instantly. If it's between two different banks, it could take two days, but it's been more than 2 days by now. He also insists I'll only be happy with 10k, but I've repeatedly asked him just for 5k. He only wants to do a "50-50 split" at this point because he isn't gonna show me the accounting, and is going to manipulate this into giving himself most of the money/giving me nothing.

That is indeed a helpful and accurate graph.
But JDA is just fucking with people. He doesn't care about any pre-existing conflict, and he doesn't care about having allies. He's just another trust fund brat internet troll.
I've tried on two different occasions to take his phony demands for respect seriously. I had what I thought was a sincere and productive phone conversation with him declaring a truce, trying to find a way for him to actually help and be helped by ComicsGate, only to have him comically sabotage it 24 hours later.
I did this because I'd never read his comics before. I saw FLYING SPARKS with a really nice Jon Malin cover, and assumed it was a blandly titled but decent indie book. A genuine effort.
After the most recent time our Peace Accord fell through for no reason, I read a few of his comics. They are objectively terrible. Like a ten year old wrote them. No one who reads his comics can deny this. They exist because JDA needs them to exist so that he can point at them to people who will NEVER bother reading them, call himself a prolific writer and use Trumpian verbiage to describe himself as The Greatest, in order to fuck with people who are actually trying. JDA has the means by which to afford producing this trash, and he does so to bully people and draw attention to himself on the internet, while humorously painting himself as a victim.
I guess he does this on behalf of Vox Day. Just a guess. But it's fun to watch the anti-CGers receive his trolling. Particularly Capn Cummings.
JDA's comics are ALL laughably terrible. I think he's just mocking comics thru them. I wonder if his novels are as bad? You might get a sale out of me, Del Arroz.

The traditional market had the problem of offering way too many books for way too long. No "lack of diversity" or this kind of shit. Too many crossovers, mini series and reboots that outpriced everyone but the hard core collectors out of the market.
Spider-Man, BatMan and X-men will sell to Kingdom come, Spawn, Saga or Hellboy will also sell to their audience (and Spawn is holding up quite well so props to Todd for ressurecting the title)
Hell, if @FROG was willing to do the work necessary, a Cyberfrog ongoing would be in the top 50 each and every month.
It is the 15th Captain Marvel reboot that failed, partly because the "new diverse audience" wants to buy Captain Marvel Vol. 1, then Captain Marvel vol 2 and never have to switch to an Avengers, X-Men or Champions run, like, you know, in Manga.

The profit margin of mainstream comics pamphlets is so slim that Marvel and DC tried to make it up in volume. More titles, with more advertising space, more variant covers, with higher cover prices and a poor quality presentation. They're simply treading water.
I don't know why you're bringing me into this. I don't want to make cheap monthly CYBERFROG pamphlets, fight the SJWs who will torture any small business that supports me, for little to no profit, all for the honor of perhaps hitting the Top 50 on Comichron? It's such a desolate industry.
I'm willing to do the work necessary to function outside of it and make more money. People who want Frog comics can find them on IndieGoGo or eBay.

As far as I can tell Preston doesn't really talk about Comicsgate anymore, his channel seems to be focusing on writer's streams and DnD Roleplaying games. The villain of season 4 of Comicsgate was vanquished mid season and now an empty power vacuum has emerged. I'm unsure whether the reveal of Preston's past was the sole factor, rather internal drama of Anti-Comicsgate/CG™ or whatever you want to call them. I believe he and the Comic Book Hut had a falling out over something, then there was a power struggle for his CG shared universe wiki that saw Zombinomicon and Mecha McCheese depart. Vikki, DA Talks and the SWC Brothers haven't collaborated with him in some time so there's probably more behind the scenes stuff that occurred we don't know about.
As far as I can tell from chatter on twitter, Jon previously tried to hire an artist with ties to ANTIFA? When the artist refused to work with him Jon claimed he was being blacklisted and did his typical cry baby routine. I think Preston called him out on his victim mentality and that was the beginning of their relationship souring publicly from what I could see. Then more recently Jon claimed that Doug Ernst was blacklisting him for refusing to promote Sixth Scale Combat's sequel book Napalm Brother's 2, which Jon was publishing for him. The rift between Preston and Jon widened and from @Mister Dongs previous post it appears Capn Cummings is done with his bullshit too. It doesn't surprise me since Cummings and Ernst are OGCG and have been friends for years and Doug is a really great guy who somehow manages to completely avoid drama.
Of course JDA himself @TheCosmicWarrior could probably answer your question better than I could.
Props to @FROG for trying to get this ongoing issue resolved. Though I don't know whether posting those DMs was a good move Nasser, not that I don't enjoy juicy DMs, but showing Ethan giving Donal a dressing down in a private conversation between the two of them might only antagonize the situation further.

I don't know. I asked Ethan first if it was fine if I posted, and he said sure. I don't know if it antagonizes it further, but it's more proof that he can pay me but just chooses not to. It's not going to look good in court, which I'm looking into, and which I'll take him to if he doesn't pay me.

The inner circle is changing a lot recently. I don't want to answer for objectively terrible comics and I don't want to answer for inexcusable business practices from creators I promote.
Pay the people you're supposed to pay, whether you like them or not, or be honest about why you can't. People will work with you if you're upfront about cashflow issues.
Prolonged jackass behavior about this isn't going to be tolerated by other creators or customers, especially not while more and more mainstream creators are joining us, and will happily take your seat at the table. It reflects poorly on everyone.
It's cold out there. Do the right thing.

Based on @FROG current campaign he's making nearly 23k dollars per page. That puts him among the top artists in the world. A monthly comic wouldn't work logistically based on the quality of product and service he provides. Most comic creators that go fully independent produce quarterly or bi-annual books. Sometimes only one book a year or even more infrequently depending on the size of the book. EVS is beholden to his customers because he crowdfunds, so he does have to put out a product on a schedule otherwise his customers will lose faith.
The artists that create infrequently don't typically crowdfund. Theres no excuse for what retards like Mitch Breitweiser have pulled. If you're taking peoples money up front to make something that should be your primary focus. Using crowdfunding as proof of concept to secure more investors to launch the product in stores first is dishonest at best, possibly criminal.
