Looks like everyone's favorite gang of toxic goofs may have played themselves. It's likely not that shocking to anyone paying attention to the people specifically named in the article, but boy is it fun to potentially see these idiots finally getting binned.
 
In my opinion, victory for ComicsGate is simply denying SJW elements of the mainstream, like Joe Glass or Stephanie Cooke or their ilk, the power to gatekeep Comics. We've done that, but there's still a ways to go. ComicsGate's ultimate victory is being able to traverse in and out of the mainstream if we want to, and to be sold at bookstores.

Cooke, Glass, De Campi, and the other talentless "nobodies" do hold a lot of power as influencers. People in comics are terrified of them, terrified of being canceled, excluded or gossiped about. They have ties to ferociously unscrupulous "journalists" in pop culture media, and even in the mainstream media, as we saw with the Miami Herald and the Washington Post. Mainstream comics creators will stay in line, and will continue to virtue signal and gatekeep, hoping they'll be spared this fate.

KickStarter was their begging post. It was their street corner. After all, as terrified as the mainstream seems to be of these SJWs, they aren't getting hired. They have no talent beyond their community organizing skills, and those skills don't lend themselves to getting along with other editors and creative people, or thinking outside of their own neurosis and egos to write or draw Tony Stark properly. They might get a short story or a miniseries at Marvel, DC or Image, but for those reasons, it doesn't last. They need Kickstarter to be their base of operations, from which horrific SJWs can fund unsellable, trashy comics, gain clout and populate the comic book industry with more SJW influencers who "make comics."

So what BOOM Studios and Keanu did, probably unwittingly, was gentrify their ghetto. They build a great big multiplex right in the middle of their community and started selling tickets hand over fist to interested patrons, rather than hipster passersby. Joe Glass, Stephanie Cooke and Zhang are outraged. They think BRZRKR and POWER RANGERS is going to change their neighborhood. So they're doing what unions do, or organized crime, and trying to extract protection money from BOOM Studios. "We'll let you operate as long as you fund our campaigns with a certain percentage of your earnings." Or Zhang's "Management" of Scott Snyder's Kickstarter. The corruption is as blatant as anything I've ever seen in comics.

The thing is, BOOM Studios is conceding to all of this. They're afraid of Camilla Zhang. This is definitely worth talking about.

Our talking heads on YouTube need to be laying this whole agenda out, plainly, every day for new listeners. It's repetitive for those of us who have been here for the past 4 or 5 years, but there's always going to be someone new who starts to recognize that something is wrong, and will go to YouTube looking for answers about why the comic book industry is behaving like this. Not talking about SJWs lets them operate without opposition. So I'm glad Zack and Yellow Flash yap about them every day.

I agree on what Comicsgate is, though I think while the act of denying gatekeepers the ability to gatekeep is simple to grasp, the effects are not. As I see it, these people are ideologues who were fed a lot of Frankfurt School-informed Critical theory, the tenets of which are predicated on the existence of a early-20th century centralized mass media organ (as such when it was incepted) that is then used to control "cultural hegemon" through and influence the "dominant ideology". However if that centralized organ doesn't exist, because emerging technologies like crowdfunds, social media and online platforms have lowered the barrier for entry into producing media to the point where centralization is not necessary, all of that and everything built upon it goes out the window. Critical Theory (or at least this iteration of it) simply becomes an obsolete and invalid means for perceiving the world around them. Hence SJWs are always striving for some sort of central control system on media access to subvert - their whole worldview necessitates it.

Zack using "unapproved media" to break down the comic book industry into a class system ("customer", "editor", "publisher", "gatekeeper") and then analyze it from a "quo vadis" perspective, in effect using their own theories and ideology against them, was probably the most pointed and direct broadside he could have possibly launched against these people. Small wonder they reacted the way they did.

But, like you say, Comicsgate is a movement with practical goals in mind, not ideological ones. The latter I contend do exist but are merely downstream of the former. Achieving the practical goal of removing SJWs' ability to gatekeep by way of offering an alternate market comes with practical challenges, like demonstrating that other creators are at least potentially able to achieve what the established CG creators have done (that is to say they simply weren't at the right place at the right time and occupy a niche), and, most crucially the mundane day-to-day business of drawing and retaining customers by way of engagement, quality product, customers service and competitive pricing,

Anyways, as for BOOM Studios. What you're describing as Boom Studios "conceding" to the SJW protection racket I see as merely one of a series of targeted concessions Boom has made given their opponent's bargaining strength: They secured the support of the direct market retailers, who were feeling threatened by the prospect of publishers abandoning them to crowdfunding and could have boycotted their entire publishing line, by staggering their entire release of BRZRKR in a way where retailers get to sell BRZRKR months before backers receive what they paid for and at a lower price than what KS customers paid. By contrast, they secured the support of the Camilla Zhang SJW indie comic mob by paying the entire collective community a total of $10,000 dollars (hahaha). And finally, they secured the support of Comicsgate's talking heads to the point where they'll champion Boom Studios over themselves by simply not calling them a hate group. You can't say it hasn't served them well. They have the biggest crowdfunded book in comics and the highest selling comic in the direct market out right now. The best of both worlds, really.

You say raising awareness of the corruption and collective bargaining tactics of the Kickstarter Trade Union in comics is important because new people becoming aware of the problems within the industry is what grows the movement. I agree. But these videos the Comicsgate "thought leaders" are pumping out don't mention Comicsgate as the opposition to SJW pressure tactics. BRZRKR and Boom Studios are. In fact, Comicsgate is not mentioned at all while Keanu Reeves is lionized as a beleaguered victim of Camilla Zhang's intimidation. Not unlike Ya Boi Zack and Mark Waid back in the day. Are you sure these people are being led towards Comicsgate? CG is on course to drop around 29% in funds raised compared to last year.
I'm sure Boom Studios will have record profits.

There is 100% a protection racket in comics. The whisper groups conspire to threaten creators by creating a problem then offering the solution.

We see it with demands that comic creators hire "Trans sensitivity readers" where for a sum of money paid to a Trans you get protection from the SJW mob.

The mainstream comics news sites are quick to fire Anyone who attempts to expose the intimidation. Creators that speak out about being pressured are either run off social media or denied interviews and promotional coverage.

Camilla Zhang is an example of corruption where mainstream comics incestuous relationship with kickstarter pressures creators to either pay for protection or risk losing any chance of working for a publisher.

We saw it with Dynamite when Barruci was praised for bailing domestic terrorists out of jail but when they allowed EVS &Co. to license vampirella covers they had a wave of creators suddenly refuse to work for them. There's obviously a group behind the scenes pulling strings to pressure these people with threats.

Let's look at Jae Lee. He's an incredibly talented artist who did a commercial commission cover and it led to Tom King attacking his own book (rorschach). Who was it pressuring Tom "waterboard Muslim murderer" King to hurt sales of his own work?

Brian V. led the campaign to drive SGM off of social media for refusing to capitulate to the kickstarter mafia.

Theres been a lot of instances and I don't want to make this post too long. The key takeaway is the protection racket is a real criminal enterprise enabled by the highest echelons of editors and senior management.
Don't assume malice when stupidity will do.

I'd say there is a fair share of opportunists among a flock of geeky men, women and wxmen that made it their life goal to do funnybooks.
And they will pretty much run every gayop and try to shield themselves from gayops while making less money than someone flipping burgers at McDonalds.
Now, add some gayopps who worked for years (such as accusing creators of misogyny so they can be booted and our friends get their jobs), men who never talked to a woman in their lives without the risk of getting arrested for harassment, some fools who got into comics because they drank the koolaid of said gay ops and also some pretty normal (for the industry) people who are fed up with the supreme levels of stupidity involved.

For instance, Scott Snyder, SGM or Bryan Hill look pretty reasonable people to me and they are definetely talented, but imagine having to fear that any Joe Glass or Camila Zhang can end your career. If you go back and watch Bryan Hill's interveiw on Comics Perch, he was saying 90% of what Simple Zack has been saying all along. And he is a talented writer to boot.

And grifters too, but most of the people are there because they love comics or love the stardom comics offer them and will do anything to stay in "the industry".

@FROG and @TheCosmicWarrior are prime examples of the comic pro mentality.

The 'SJW's used to be like piranhas, tearing apart anyone that bled en masse.
The big two shakeup means that there is enough blood in the water for the big sharks to take out some of those piranhas irritating them. At the moment, Todd McFarlane is making a play for a bigger marketshare, poaching prime talent for his Spawn universe. Can you see any of the SJWs taking a byte out of Chad Todd?

Scott Snyder refused to listen to someone because he was a meanie who insulted his troon friend. That's not reasonable. Bryan Hill a decade ago would have been black Brian Reed. I've never read anything of him I disliked or liked.

SGM is literally the only reasonable, talented person there and I feel he's just trying to stay alive.

And because working a real job scares them shitless. Go learn about Mark Allessi's experience with these idiots at Crossgen. He tried to get them adjusted to a normal work schedule and they couldn't handle it.

Yes. He's tied to Image with Eric Larsen and a bunch of SJWs. They just don't care because he is irrelevant.

Red Rooster made $197,434 (before mass refunds); the Allegiance 3-pack made $44,709. As interesting as the premise sounds, who's going to give Mitch any money towards a crowdfund at this point?
