@FROG makes funny videos and rants about Star Wars and cancel culture but his main business is and always has been making comics. It's not grifting, it's selling a legitimate product to people that are more likely to buy that product.
What amuses me is that for years these same people complained about the stereotypical "90lbs woman beating up 200lbs guys." Then Naughty Dog creates a female character that genuinely looks like she could beat up guys, and everybody complains she's too muscular.

Kind of a low blow to call them diversity shields in my opinion. I get that Jeremy is probably seedy enough to see them that way, but you're also implying that their reasons for being there weren't genuine. I'd like to see anyone tell Rippa his passion on last nights stream wasn't earnest. I'll assume you meant this as more of a jab at Jeremy than his cohosts.
She's a real piece of work. I still remember when she drunkenly mis-interpreted a video from Alex Becker and attempted to turn Jeff's entire fanbase against him despite the fact that Becker was actually voicing support for The Fandom Menace. Then there's the time she made a video literally shouting at her customers for being upset that Jeff shipped a comic book as if it was a Viagra ad.
Far be it from me to decide who is and isn't earnest. Im sure all of them are chasing a YouTube Paycheck. Rippa is obviously intelligent and more so than this crew he associates with. If you've seen any of his content and in particular talking about ComicBooks he's fantastic.

Agreed. I really didn't care for the way he introduced each one of them by saying "When I found _______ they were (insert undesirable traits)". He makes it sound like he rescued these people. It was almost identical to the way the big two talk about the POC they hire. I believe at one point he also asked Gary to "qualify himself", basically telling Gary to reveal he has a biracial child, thus granting Gary the right to make the extremely taboo observation that racism against Asians might not be so great. It was real weird.
Ivan did a lot of stuff for them, not sure how much he still does. Most of those people are either on the sports wars channel, or I believe write articles for his website that no one goes to. Kinda feel bad for Jeremy in a way, he has tried for so long to build his brand beyond just his main channel and just him, but it's obvious that basically everyone watches him for his outrage takes and not the other people.
These people follow the "SJW" model: they spend all day bitching about pop culture then sell their merch to the crowds they advocate for or rent their platforms for advertising.
