looks really badass to be quite honest! I always liked Don, he is real laid back and chill. It’s also nice to see him bringing more of that 90’s style craziness back in his books.

Dear backers,

It is with a heavy heart and deep regrets that I must inform you that there is no Red Rooster. Our detractors, Internet trolls, and the YouTube gossip channels were correct all along; Red Rooster: Golden Age was an elaborate grift. Elizabeth and I have been in Cabo for the last two years. I’ve spent the last several months creating detailed photoshop images to make it look like the campaign was in fulfillment, but we cannot carry on this ruse any longer.

Even worse, your money has run out and we are now stuck in Mexico. Thankfully, our campaign for the brand new Allegiance Arts title for THE SAINTS will be up and running in just a few weeks, and with your support we will be able to make it back across the border and return to our humble lives in the states.

THE SAINTS may be our grandest project yet. We’re very fortunate that breakout-talent, Christian Rosado is willing to work for “exposure." You can see his incredible talents on display below. We are also happy to announce that Eisner Award-winning writer, Mike Baron is scripting the project in exchange for 1,000 Mexican pesos. Please do not tell him about the exchange rate. It’s only $48.82.

Adventure is always on the horizon, and we greatly appreciate you accompanying us on the many exciting journeys ahead.

I think the real story here is that Allegiance Arts is officially a failure if he's going to try crowdfunding again.

CYBERFROG 2: REKT PLANET closed down this week, about $50K shy of beating that Stickman book, but still a tremendous success. I realized, after having committed to a print run and having made all of the PVCs, that I didn’t have the fuel to get another $50,000, and was soon going to sell out of product.

But things have changed, especially with Keanu Reeves blasting past us all with BRZRKR, so it no longer felt important to beat what is now a second place comic.

I’ll try again with CYBERFROG 3.

We had a little shipping problem with the YouTube channel member trading cards. Instead of shipping them one at a time, we decided to ship each member 10 trading cards at once, wrapped in a regular envelope, with two postage stamps. The post office kicked them back to us, telling us that the envelopes were thicker than a quarter of an inch, and therefore, we must repackage them all and weigh them for proper shipment.

Disaster. Cost us about $400. But we're repacking them now in manilla bubble mailers, and I guess it's just an expensive lesson learned.

We've settled on a printer, and on foil embossed logos. 6800 copies of the book across ten different variant covers.

The check went out from us to the printer on Wednesday. We're expecting another invoice for freight once the books are ready to ship to us.

We're paying more per book than we planned, but since we announced ALL CAPS COMICS was publishing and fulfilling, the campaign has grossed another $26,000, so we feel that we'll do okay.

Feels like we'll ship in May, but we're telling people June to be safe.
 
In mainstream comics, Perch covers how Pulitzer award winning journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates is saying farewell to Captain America in the best way possible, by transforming the Red Skull into Jordan Peterson as a youtuber who streams about how Captain America is soy now and efaps uploaded videos of Cap getting his ass beat by Red Skull's daughter (Sin), in between Cap being saved by an all-woman feminist secret society of Marvel superheroines called "the Daughters of Liberty", a veritable whisper network if you will.

Having failed to rehabitlitate Captain America after the ruinous arc of Secret Empire, Coates appears to have settled for turning the comic into some sort of penisless abomination where Cap isn't just regularly saved by a woman, but is in fact saved by a team of women.

As is all too often in modern comics, it falls upon the Red Skull to speak truth to power as he calls upon the people to reject Cap's emasculation and to firmly grasp their swords of mighty manhood and probably send superchats as well. I'm left wondering who's going to illustrate Red Skull's "Ten Rules For Life"?

How did you lose half your backers? Even assuming you got new people on those gimmick covers, you can't have done more that ten to twelve thousand on Bloodhoney. This is stagnation at most.

Holy shit that is embarrassing.
 
So glad his run is ending. At this point, the captain America story just needs a reboot period. I mean the guy has gotta be over 100 years old now and he had his heyday in the 1930’s and 40’s. To have him try and understand the politics of today would just require a little too much suspension of belief. If anything, he would be probably be agreeing with Red Skull now.


by the way, does anyone know if the gay Captain America is supposed to be a replacement on some female thor/gogurt hulk shit or is it just a one shot?

Whoever replaces him will be the same or worse. Marvel hates America. They can't write a patriotic character well. Just like DC can't do justice to The Question.
