Another small piece of drama that just recently unfolded was the ending of the friendship between Mike S Miller and our own
@NasserRabadi13. The falling out was triggered by the reporting on my
Part 1 of a 3 part post on overdue crowdfunding campaigns. The first post
here detailed the top 25 late campaigns on a list of 75 overdue campaigns of which Elliot Fernandez's
DOOMKICKER was a part of.
Early in the day Nasser fired up a stream titled
"AFTERLIFE WITH NASSER #77 FRIDAY FIRE! 9 DAYS LEFT FOR SCP!!!" to promote his second launching of his horror anthology comic book
Secret Comics Presents. Our current drama begins at the [
33:50] mark where the topic of
SOVEREIGN another overdue book is brought up in the chat.
Nasser went on to mention my previous post on the farms and stream the update section of the months overdue campaign. The chat goes on to mention that Sovereign previously had a kickerstarter campaign, the doubts of the book being fulfilled and mentions of other late books. From the chat Mike S Miller joins the chorus of viewers claiming that the book will never come out.
Nasser attempts to get Mike to join him on stream, however unfortunately Mike S Miller is visiting the hospital to visit his mom, and declines the offer. Nasser states that he
"hopes everything's okay Mike" which triggers a rather passive aggressive response from Mike, which is our first indication of friction between the two.
Nasser responds by stating he had the best of intentions, was hoping everything was alright and that Mike didn't have to
"act like a jerk." It is around this time that the $60,000 question is asked by a member of the chat.
Given the overlap between between Mike and Nasser's audience a discussion begins in chat with many of the viewers expressing doubt that Doomkicker will ever be fulfilled. Nasser expresses dismay as a backer of Doomkicker and admits that he previously bought several of Elliot's prints while Mike engages in damage control in the chat. Nasser goes on to counter Mike's claims while sharing his
previous post about Elliot, Doug and Doomkicker from this thread.
Mike then goes on to claim that
"nothing I said was accurate" which is hard to believe since all the information was taken from CreatorGo, Indiecron and Indiegogo itself. However I encourage Mike to register an account here and correct my information if he can dispute it. Unfortunately for Mike both the chat and Nasser weren't having any of Mike's typical behavior of standing up for creators over the customers and he proceeded to get BTFO by both.
@NasserRabadi13 your rant at [
48:55] towards Mike was highly entertaining!
The tag team duo of Nasser and the chat was enough to bully Smiller from the stream, just as Nasser texted Elliot to ask for a refund on Doomkicker.
Once again Smiller was forced to scamper off with his tail between his legs after expressing a widely unpopular opinion.
Mike would then later return home from the hospital and fire up his own stream titled
"WORK STREAM!" and invite Elliot Fernandez on at the [
1:03] mark almost immediately from launching. It wouldn't be until [
27:00] that the topic of Nasser's stream and Doomkicker would be broached by Mike and Elliot, but only after a massive sob story from Elliot on everything from panic attacks, heart attacks, acid reflux, money woes, ambulance fees etc.
Elliot brings up that saw he someone comment something about
"kiwifarms" and asked Mike what it was about. To which Mike responds he doesn't know, despite claiming in the Nasser stream that all my information was wrong, then telling Elliot to
"watch Nasser's latest drama stream and that he is done with that kid." The stream is still processing, so unfortunately I can't provide chat comments other than the ones provided by the kiwis who were watching the stream. Mike continues by degrading Nasser as a drama merchant, from which the chat DarkGift Comics agrees. Elliot goes on to explain that this is the reason he deleted his twitter and distanced himself from social media to escape
genuine questions speculation on the status of his overdue project.
At the [
33:51] mark Mike takes a shot at
@FROG without naming him by stating that someone with a very large fanbase, who doesn't care about a year late book (Cyberfrog), goes around and destroys everyone else. Mike of course is playing revisionist history here as Frog definitely took criticism for his overdue book Bloodhoney, but completely ignores the fact that Doomkicker is far later than Bloodhoney ever was. Mike was also happy to throw stones at Andrew Huerta's Sovereign in the aforementioned Nasser stream but continues to make excuses for Doomkicker.
Elliot goes onto to state during his hour long appearance on Mikes stream:
- He understands if people don't support him after the lateness on his project and he accepts that.
- He claims he will never do another comic book again, at which point Mike stops him mid speech and wants to talk to him about a "secret project."
- His excuse appears to corroborate Nasser's post as he admits he made some unwise business decisions and the project is delayed as a result. He also claims he has information on Nasser but would never share it publicly. - @Mister Dongs at this point encourages Elliot to do so.

- Elliot seems to give the impression he's having money problems and the reason the book is delayed is because he is prioritizing other work to take care of his family.
Eventually a commentator from the chat asks the real question on everyone's mind, how far along is the book?
Which was quickly deleted from the chat.
As I said the stream is still processing so the live chat is unavailable but I am told that the commentator asked why their chat was deleted until a mod addressed it.
The commentator asked where he could find these answers, only to have the mod tell them to
"rewind the stream."
At no point during Elliot's hour plus appearance on this stream does he ever give any indication to the status of completion of Doomkicker, nor in the majority of his updates. Neither Mike nor Elliot address the question or reprimand the mod for deleting the comment, which appears to be a genuine question on the status of the book.
TLDR
Mike and Nasser's internet friendship once again appears on the rocks due to Mike again siding with a creator/pro rather than the customers who have been done wrong by them. Similar to how several weeks ago he began berating critics of Mitch Breitweiser and Red Rooster's lateness, he now berates those who merely mention that his friend Elliot's book is over a year late with zero transparency into how much of the book is complete and the lack of updates. Mike's stance is pure hypocrisy as the excuses he accepts from Elliot, he does not extend to Andrew Huerta or
@FROG for their books being late and will happily comment on them.
All in all just another day of Mike expressing a universally disliked opinion and typical
Smillerish behavior.
