Rags.
Rags is deep CG lore. A comic published by Brian Ball and Trent Luther and the Gyingerarchy ie
Liz Finnegan (an thot who dressed in the unicorn out fit for promotion). Originally out of Antarctic, the creative team was apart of a group of earlier grifters
eyeing CG before being supplanted by Ethan and his people. Piecing together the full range of internet autism is difficult because it occurred early in CG's lifespan and some people have been cleaning up the embarrassing bits.
Rags ran into a series of early controversy. Gators would, when accused of being racists, point out they supported Rags (they did). This infuriated Ball and company who lashed out at customers who dared defend themselves with the truth, demanded they not be called CG themselves, and proceeded to passive aggressively take shots at
CG. What made this truly exceptional was rather than limit attacks to grifters like themselves, they attacked
customers.
For those wondering how this heel turn has effected them. It is true Antarctic deeply under shipped allowing the book to be flipped for a decent amount.
But, not only does it sell indie numbers it's a trash funder with the latest low key porn reprinting of six issue series scrapping 30,000 off 500 backers across
two platforms.
Fast forward to today. Rags continues to be lowest common denominator trash. Let's look at what I assume was the image Malin chimped out about.
Who does Matt Weldon associate with?
Weldon is in a tough spot. He's a Mormon and Punchline isn't just the
borderline porn Rags and the other Antarctic club people tend to put out. Despite that, he's emeshed with a group that hates CG, hates its base, and has spent the last two or three years being toxic. On the other side of the fence, he's friends with Miller, Baron, and company, and seems to want to get along with CG providing work for Clint Stoker and Martina Markota. He's tried to get along, do art, and make comics. But it's a literal no win situation.
Lim and crew will fill you with poison, as we saw with Doug Earnst. Miller is spewing his own brand of failure. Then you have CGtism seeping out like Malin above.
If Malin was a "good man" or a man of any sort he would have contacted Weldon before deciding to publicly chimp out and start shit.

No shit. Either he can't do the work, in which case how was he able to draw and work none stop over the last year plus, or he screwed up and just doesn't want to admit it. Just, either way do right by people and give them a book or their money back and that should be the end of it.
'What sets Kyle Ritter apart' is that he got over 200K to do his book and when he finished it a year late he decided fulfilling it for his customers who already waited over a year was to much work so he sat on it for 5 MORE months before FROG came in to clean up his mess and save him from his own disregard for his customers.
Fuck 'em both.
One can say Elliot is worse and maybe he is but not by much.
One is fulfilling their book the other isn't.
Perhaps it's because Ernst, Lim and Smith are grown ups who have worked in the real world putting in a full days work for a days pay.
Grown ups don't continue to passive aggressively bitch for years after something happened. Lim's crew, him included, need to grow the fuck up and not let their hate boner for CG fester. They've all acted poorly.
