I really haven't been paying too much attention, but is Dale Keown going to self publish something on his own at some point?
i think he is more likely to publish something with All Caps if he and Frog are as buddy buddy as Frog says They are. In which case, I would be glad to see him put out another Pitt comic or maybe a Cyberfrog/Pitt crossover under the All Caps banner.

When CG members come out as fake geek girls with as uninformed takes as the SJWs:
Eric July, aka YoungRippa59 probably has more braincells than 90% of comicsgaters and usually good takes, but damn it, if you are to complain about a Non Binary actor in a Sandman adaptation you either are desperate for some outrage and/or have never read sandman

I mean...

On a MUCH lighter note, does anybody have an opinion of Keung Lee and Battle Maiden Knuckle Bomb? I did a search on KF, and I really learned little other than the fact he has worked with TUG (but not on this).

I don't like TUG, but this is more my aesthetic. Thinking about maybe seeing if I can pick up a copy. I don't want to do the guilt by association bullshit.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. Probably a top 10 CG book for me. Keung Lee actually understands how to make a passable "manga," unlike Liam.

I have it but didn't read it because by the time it arrived, Keung was another one of those "I was friends with Nasser" dudes that went on to talk trash about me. I'll sell you my copy if I can find it, it's in a box somewhere.

LIAM GRAY TREEHOUSE UPDATE #2 after the last time he quit youtube in less than a week
- again not one drip of swet
- He couldn't go 1 day away from youtube after his last QUITTING video
- Notice a dog has already pissed on the floor in this video

You don't dox people that buy things from you, do you?

Don't take that question personally, BTW. It's something that I have had to ask everybody since the shit with War Campaign. I'm pretty sure I asked Quaff at some point too.

Drop me a line if you should come across it, but don't feel like you have to hurry and find it. Continue to set a good example and get your CG books out.

There's a kneejerk reaction on both sides of the aisle to shit like this. It's a good way of telling that the person complaining has never read the source material.

I noticed this when they did the Attack of Titan live action move that had an asian cast, and SJWs were virtue signaling how great that is and how it's so much better than Hollywood because of that. In reality, nearly everybody in the source material is Caucasian except Mikasa. It's actually a plot point.

Same thing here, but from the other side. Both sides do it. It's obnoxious.

Now he is screwing up the file numbering sequence. He has no consideration towards the needs of his online stalker/documenters. What a bastard.

I have the first book, I enjoyed it quite a bit when I read it last year. Out of all the Comicsgate-adjacent comics out now, I'd say that his is the most spot on when it comes to stylization in terms of manga aesthetics.

Black Death is the obvious complaint here. And easy picking, since even SJWs are feeling odd about her:
Death was a goth chick in the original and all the Endless were pale as fuck. Sandman is the #1 reason big tiddy goths got into comics in the 90's.
If they try to goth up a black actress making her paler there is a good chance they will get cancelled. If they don't goth up Death fans will feel odd. They may not say it outright, but they will.
And finally, there is bound to be a coocoo who will complain that black is associated with death and racist Neil Gaiman REEEE which I will enjoy watching from afar, as this is a monster of his own creation.

This might be a case where even if he was aware of the source material he'd still respond in the same way. There's no logical inconsistency there really. The material might serve as a passive (or active, I'm not familiar with it) promotion of trannyism, but then if the promo is being handled this way by DC marketing then it helps set the expectation that properties other than Sandman should be promoted with equal "sensitivity". Woke culture warriors do always start by getting a foot in the door and gradually pushing their changes everywhere. "Give them an inch and they'll take a mile" is the M.O. of these people, and this could easily be another inch.

405 dollars, it shows the filing fee

There's more than just the filing fee to a lawsuit. He would have needed to pay his attorney. As someone who's hired them, that alone was probably a couple of grand up front.

Then there are related fees. He'll have to perform service on three parties in three states, travel, document costs. This thing probably ran him a minimum of two to three grand just to start up.

Writing up the Dan Shahin video to wash it out of my mouth.

Walking into the pig slop that is the American comic industry, mainstream bitch pig Dan Shahin hosted the return of expert PayPiggie rangler Ethan 'Suwee" Van Sciver.

* Dan is a good example of the bitch pig. He's obsessed with framing everything through the lens of politics. Dan immediately lobs some slop, the situation in the Mid East, at Ethan. Like a good pig wrangler, Ethan ignores the grotesque gunk and replies he doesn't have an opinion. Showing his lack of basic human understanding of decency, Ethan talks about how upsetting the mainstream's pressure on Noah is to him. Dan then acts as if either Ethan or Noah is lying, only to back peddle as he realizes what a stupid thing to say that was.

* Finally, Dan falls back to a very old CG point on race swap characters. Frog is not the best person to have the discussion with, but he's game; stating that his opposition is that it should be about story. Dan pounces, pointing out that Sam Jackson is great as Nick Fury. Frog completely whiffs, agreeing but stating that that was the result of the incredible writing of Mark Millar. *sigh* :\

At this point I would interject that Sam Jackson is an actor. Black facing Nick Fury added nothing of value and in fact hurt as when they did it in the main MCU, it meant erasing after disrespecting the OG Fury of Jim Steranko and Jack Kirby.

* At this point, Frog is forced to sit there as Dan sings how wonderful Joe Quesada was as an Editor at Marvel. Really, only second to Jack Kirby and Stan Lee. :smug:

* Frog largely let's this pass. Then shit hits the fan. Dan decides to start a ridiculous slap fight over the Capitol. Or as he calls it insurrection. He asks Ethan if his opinion finally shifted after the riot on January 6th. Ethan tries to liven things up, joking along the lines that being a Trump supporter means constant apologizing or whatever. Dan doesn't take the hint and continues, revealing that being the bitch piggy he is, he oinked at his Trump supporting family member. They, of course, told him that they were done with Trump. That they did that to stop his squeals probably never occurred to him. Ethan points out communists are bad, insurrection is bad. Dan retorts that he never heard of a communist insurrection, though later acknowledges giving nuclear secrets was a bad thing.

At this point I was asphyxiating from laughter. FYI, for half a century American socialists led revolts designed to depose the US government. The green corn riots of Oklahoma and the attempted 1920 bombing of Wall Street in New York are two examples. it was only after the Red Scare and Socialists facing the death penalty that they subsided somewhat. Ethan also fails to point out that the 'insurrection' was rioters vandalizing a government building. So, by that logic, say attacking a police station is insurrection.

* Ethan calls with all his might to drag Danpig back to fucking comics. It somewhat succeeds and Dan reveals that he received emails from former colleagues of Ethan with tons of 'dirt' on him. Including his ex-wife. Ethan relates that this is evil, and marvels that Dan would reveal this as it hurts his side. Dan immediately backpedals like with Noah, explaining he's not on their side but the truths and the writers only sent him stuff about him being a lazy asshole! :story:

* The chat at this point is savagely pro Ethan.

* Dan wants Ethan to repeat his exodus from DC. Meh. The only interesting thing to come of this is Dan admits that he 'knows' Zach and that they've emailed. Boiling down, it appears his attempted argument is Ethan was an asshole. That, not his politics is the reason he was fired. For reference he uses Frank Miller, who last I checked was a Trump bashing lefty.

* Dan is now forced to face comments, with Dan revealing his pro Palestine and asking Ethan to name his gay shields.

Over all a pathetic effort by a man who has yet to learn he is the least interesting thing in the room.
Watching clips from the interview, and this is why comicbook geeks suck at politics.

Dan Shahin mentions Palestine.
A situation where a bunch of people were staying in their desert being totally fine, when a group of highly influencial people decided that a group was so agrieved and mistreated that they decided to get them in there no matter what.
Then, when they came in, took control and found out that the natives were not too happy to have them there, they started fighting them and trying to ghetto them and oust them out.

Which is totally irrelevant to comicgate, only it is a very similar situation and if @FROG was not such a fat boomer, he could have flipped it on him and let him stutter.

Also, cocaine is one hell of a drug.

EDIT: When he gets of Sketch Therapy, he fails to connect the fact that CG (and geekdom) is a haven for the outcast. Then Ethan does the decent thing and shuts him down. Dan Shahin is a major asshole.

Sandman was a goth version of Jack Kirby's character.
A big part of the cast were androgynous and there was a trans character too. And we are talking about a 1989 comicbook

How would you say it is relative to Kamen America?

I find the idea of an English language manga intriguing and think, Liam being an idiot aside, it's a completely viable idea.

Made the thread for Poulter et al v. Assaf et al:
I know it's not much right now, but I hope to get a couple of key parts to improve the OP.
Thank you @5t3n0g0ph3r. You're my favorite mod. Always on top of things and keeping a well ordered house.
:feels:

Edit: If Null questions this, be sure to tell him that Preston is the "pegging guy." It's the one and only time he put a CG related thing on the main page.

No. That is the problem. Comics....not fucking Mid-East shit. Muslims trying to genocide Jews into the sea and Jews blowing them up has nothing to do with comic books.

Death was based on ginger Tori Amos

Setting aside this being yet another case of gingercide, Death is supposed to be supernaturally pale. Its an asthetic. Black people don't pull it off well.

I never particularly took to Sandman. I consider it the most overacted comic in the last sixty years. I rolled my eyes when Shahin raised it and Terry Moore's Strangers in Paradise as examples. Despite launching in the 90s neither of these books consistently topped sales charts against superheroes despite having higher percentages of women readers. There continued lifespan in trades is directly connected to the librarian/scholastic phenomenon. Every library seems to have Sandman.

I enjoy the KA series, but I'd say BMKB is leagues better. The artwork is no contest. Keung is one of the better artists in CG. In terms of story, I prefer BMKB because it feels more authentic. KA is self-aware in a way that can lead to a couple of cringe-inducing moments throughout the series (again, I still like KA quite a bit). If Keung continues to deliver books on par with the first, I'd say BMKB will be a powerhouse franchise.

Yeah, the artwork I have seen of BMKB does look more "authentic manga" than KA. I love KA, but it's more "manga-ish" or "partially manga-inspired."

What the hell. I'll put BMKB on my list to check out.

Shame about Xenotype. I would have bought it just for Ody's artwork, if Liam wasn't such a retard.

So what is the story on War Campaign anyway? I haven't followed Comigsgate much since the early days. Last I recall that weirdo Ro was on some stream being called out for faking DMs and EVS defended him. I've sort of understood that much more has happened since then but no idea what.
Feel free to mark me late if it's too much of a mess to explain.

I have finally had the chance to hold my copy of StarBlades.
It looks great! Ritter did a fantastic job with the art and @FROG's bonus to the cover makes it pop.
I'll read it later tonight.
