I think CG is missing a good reason to get back to making comics. I'm a broken record about that, but it stands. Some of you are moaning about how stale and boring CG and TFM streams are. No shit. They're a bunch of dull nerds and a handful of dull thots on a grift. No wonder the act is wearing thin. Remember a little what KF is about and try to be a little less of Ethans and Nassers etc. self-appointed chat show consultation agency. Prompt CGers with a verbal boot or two to get back to work with what actual skills they have, or need to develop, rather than encouraging them to stare like cattle at their computer monitors for multiple hours of the latest variation of Kennedy Woman Bad.

I praise and admire Tim Lim for getting Kamen America up on billboards, a draw for actual comic cons. How many eyes will see that, compared to a dank corner of youtube that increasingly looks like a bored and salty DnD session? As far as I'm concerned this comicsgate apostate is the one who best embodies what the current version of comicsgate is supposed to be, building a direct, rather than incidental and collateral audience for his comic. Also getting the fucker out in a reasonably timely and professional manner.

But it does get dull with everyone just agreeing and having the safe take on everything. Not that people should disagree for the sake of it, but a little devil's advocate once in a while could be nice. Hell, I'd replace Anna with some dipshit like Dan Shahin in a heartbeat. He's a dumb little weasel, but at least he brings a different perspective to the show and provokes some good reactions from Ethan.

Even Fox News used to throw guys like Alan Colmes and Juan Williams on panel discussions under the pretext of being "fair and balanced" even if it was really just to make guys like Hannity seem smart by comparison. Even though they were booked as jobbers, those guys also genuinely disagreed with the conservatives.
There has to be a foil if for nothing else than to make the host look good or, as you say, it's just a circle jerk of safe takes.

Not saying that FNT or CAPS should bring on a rabid SJW as a regular guest, but it wouldn't hurt to have a competent person with a personality come in and maybe take a different position on some issues to get the discussion going. Everybody on FNT agrees with Gary on everything. The audience all agree with Gary. I believe someone commented on it during the efap stream, and Anna defended herself by saying she's on other channels more than her own. Sure, Anna, but you don't actually *say* anything of value or add to any discussion you're in. Star Wars is all but finished and no one cares about Star Trek. That's all she has. She's a complete normie when it comes to anything else. She can't talk about comics or anime because she knows fuck all about them. Hell, her Star Wars knowledge isn't even that extensive. She calls herself "Star Wars Girl" but never even played the KOTOR games prior to 2020? Holy shit...

I didn't get it, and one thing that I will freely admit that I regret is helping somebody leave the movement. I actually did help somebody on their way out and I shouldn't have. I should have let him burn, honestly. But that was my mistake and I'm gonna regret that for a while, because that was part of what started the rumor; they figured because he left and I helped him leave on without coming across like an asshole, they assumed that I went with him.

Nothing could be further from the truth Micah insists. But if the community itself arrives at praxis that he is not a part of the community, how can it be otherwise? Micah vowed he would never leave, and now the decision appears not to be up to him.

After some soulsearching, Micah had a realization that anyone can claim to be Comicsgate. Just like anyone can declare themselves a Christian, or a Republican. But that doesn't make being a Republican or Christian meaningless; it's a set of beliefs one claims to ascribe to but the only real metric if someone is truly Comicsgate, or a part of any other philosophy or belief system, are the works one does for the sake of one's beliefs. Narwhal for example is someone that talks the talk and walks the walk and that's what matters, not acceptance within a group and his is the example Micah says he'll follow going forward.

Am I Comicsgate? Look who you're fucking talking to. I am, and I will not be - and this is a problem that I realized in my personal life - I will not consistently be dragged down by people who need to purity test every damn movement. It is not about a fucking social club. It was never about a fucking social club. I would know, I was there at the start and unlike some people I have a legitimate claim to being there at the start, and on top of all of this, on top of all of this, I will say the comic books are worth it and it doesn't matter what someone claims to be. It doesn't matter if someone comes along and claims to be similar to you, or to be in the same tribe as you.

That's the reason that they do it, it's for tribalistic shit. And if you cannot have the sense of wisdom to understand that, then you probably also don't have the intelligence to continue to do this shit. I am going to say this right now about myself and about this brand of Sleeveless comics and about everything that I am doing from here on in - I will not be dragged down by the consistent whinging of young men who act like old women sitting in the back of church, constantly spouting bullshit rumors or whining about things not going their way.

Three Knights, Four Days was late says Micah and the responsibility falls on him for taking an in-demand cover artists like Preston Acevedo and not accounting for people commissioning work for him when factoring in how much time he needed, and this is something he'll take as a learning experience. There's even a moment of humility, albeit delivered in a truly Micah fashion, when he touts of all the great advice he's received from more experienced men Art Thibert, Frog, Jon Malin and Chuck Dixon who taught him the business inside and out. Micah then describes a personal epiphany, related in the form of a reddit meme because it's Micah:

You have two options in life: you either can sit back and talk a lot, or B: you can get out on the court and fucking do something. Those are the types of people that are out there, and I am not going to continue to take breaks on the sidelines anymore, because obviously what that does to me as a man is makes me less of one. I came up with this theory when pondering whether Micah is a bum, which made me hit upon the revelation that he would be an unsuccessful bum - nobody would give him money.

Trying to prod CG creators into actually getting their books done seems like a losing battle in most cases. But telling them how fucking dull their streams and guests are is pretty easy and is more actionable feedback. I wouldn’t say that JDA has access to the trough of Ethan’s fans per say… he’s built up most of his fan base himself and didn’t need Ethan to give him a boost. Although being on Ethan’s good side is a big plus for his future campaigns.
