There are a lot of details we may disagree with but I think his main point is that WC was used when they were beneficial and did Frog's dirty work and were discarded when it became convenient for him. This I feel is 100% true. For a year or two, they were an absolute shitshow and it was laughed off until it managed to bite everyone in the ass, including E. You can take your pick of culprits if you go by his creative deflections. The attack on Anna was the main thing and I don't remember if it was Ethan or someone else who revealed that it was Dynamite's idea to use her, or even the extent to which Ethan had been working with Dynamite up to that point. It came out at about the same time. There were valid criticisms to be made about using Dynamite and using Anna, but of course WC couldn't manage to do it without trying to burn the entire house down. I felt they had only upped their ante because Ethan raised their stock himself by allowing them to become bonafide creators (through Ro) with Vintage.
1. Ro and WC were a part of your inner circle because of their willingness to slam your enemies and generate hype, all talk of gayops aside. Ironically or tragically, they were also the only ones who insisted on a certain level of quality, which had you been a better brand manager yourself would have saved a lot of money for a lot of people. It would have prevented people who had no business in the business from scamming your pool of customers. To be somewhat fair, the decision to upgrade your 'Gate with more industry vets partially addresses the problem, but the professionalism of others won't help that much if you let your own IP rot on the vine with unfulfilled and underwhelming product like Your Soi NarZack.

It was a forbidden love that dare not speak its name. Nick Barrucci had been "advising" Ethan in regards to publishing since 2018. Dynamite published other SJW "talent" which contradicted not only good sense but the CG brand specifically. That was why it was probably kept on the downlow as long as it was. The financial benefit outweighed the fake idealism: Ethan was learning everything he could about independent publishing and Nick had an opportunity to court the CG audience. The backlash wasn't only on the CG front, a few of the aforementioned SJWs (Karla Pacheco, Mark Russell, Christian Ward) on Dynamite's side threatened to cut loose as well. Don't know if any of them actually did.
The thread is fine that was 5 months ago and Rewriting Ripley was only tangentially connected with Funny Books (via FM) which might be the reason you don't see much interest in it here.
