Command and Conquer: Rivals - EA is really beating the dead horse here.

Death of franchise tier flop.

You know how they made Dungeon Keeper into a transparently pay to win shitpile by making it take 24 hours to dig up a single square of earth but you can speed it up by levering open your wallet? That hard. The C&C intellectual property will be sold to some godawful developer of utter shit for a pittance and EA's bosses will post whining twitter screeds about how they were "too innovative" and blaming the public for being "entitled" because they wanted a game that wasn't a crock of rancid shite.

A thousand dicks in EA.

Except EA is quite famous for keeping hold of very very dead IPs with a death-like grip. Including SimCity, and fucking System Shock. Mostly because they're fucking terrified someone will come along, buy the IP cheap off of them and then fucking do it better.

They already lost the city builder crown thanks to the Cities Skylines people (who were a team of like 14 compared to EA's massive studio) and they hunted down and bought any IP elements that were still outstanding for SystemShock years back, then threatened anyone making a fan game with legal rains of death if they didn't comply.

The last System Shock game came out 19 years ago.

Never mind when EA isn't busy killing off studios and franchises like DeadSpace which was honestly made on a budget of 2p on an old ass engine of theirs.

Meanwhile, here's what we could have had:
