The stuff with that Japanese woman was pretty funny, the original picture and headlines perfectly played into the yandere trope. It's not that strange, women are attracted to power and strength because if they get with them, they think he'll protect them. A guy who just doesn't care in the face of the government and has a proven ability to kill is pretty hot when you look at it from that perspective.
