Am I being autistic as fuck and misreading this? Did he off himself because his ex girlfriend said "no" to his proposal? Because if that's the case that kinda makes him a shit person, mental illness or not.

My apologies she didn't even see the tweet before he killed himself. Even though I didn't watch him I hope he has found peace on the other side.

My theory is that he felt really alone - this proposal was an act of desperation before making the decision to off himself, fully aware that she would say no.

No one knows, I would guess that from what we have to work with. He was going crazy and out of a desperation threw the last bit of feelings he had at someone who he still cared for, but hadn't kept in touch with. Kind of a "last words of a dead man" sorta deal. He already knew his fate, so he wanted one last act of himself.

Agreed. He didn't kill himself "because" she said no... he was already in a very unwell mental state and he wanted to connect with somebody he truly cared for one last time, however unstable the method.
 
Fighting Game event EVO is cancelled. Someone on the team got cancelled by SJWs, publishers started pulling their game, and its essentially dead.
 
Imagine putting your ex in the spotlight to all your followers before killing yourself. What a way to have people try and blame her for your issues.
