Brave is parasitic adware. The webmaster of archive.md should be commended for discouraging its use.

Disgusting.

Odd use of a sock account.

Regardless, archive.md is absolute cancer, I have been searching for an alternative for ages seeing as it takes 5 minutes to mirror a single Twitter post.

Nice catch.
Here's what i use

As someone mentioned a page or so back archive has been fuckey for a while, an alternative is greatly needed.

Some news from Hollywood

Royalty signs deal with Netflix

can some nerd pls make a thread for this brave/archive stuff? the info would be more useful and accessible than it is posted here

I'll try :heart-full:

So question: The fuck is Brave, and why does everyone care if those particular users can or can't use archive?
It's one of the better browsers out there. It's like Chrome with all the unnecessary bullshit striped out plus no espionage.

You also can chose to get paid in a cryptocurrency to view ads through the browser.

I like it a lot.

You can also set it up so the BAT crypto currency goes to the Farms to help Null keep the place running (and I hope I have mine set up correctly, as they soft banned him from the service)

so I never understood (and the filter here never helped), is there any difference between archive today, is, md, or any of the other dozen names that aren't archive.org?

today, is, fo, li, vn, md, and ph are all the same (the main one people here have been using, and the one involved in the Brave situation). Notably, .vn (Vietnam) is very expensive to register if you don't live there. Maybe he found a reseller, but I still wonder what the point was. I'm not sure what the point of the whole thing is since they seem to point to the same IP address and who even relies on DNS filtering?

.org is the Internet Archive / Wayback Machine

Also the more people who are pushing something like Brave, the more suspicious I am of it. It has a stupid name too which doesn't help.
I'm the same way. When I suddenly see something being pushed by everyone it just makes me suspect the spend more on advertising more than the actual product. How many times have you heard someone spiel about Brave Honey Legends?
