TikTok, the hive of autistic speds, have a new "challenge".
And, as usual, it has a very high probability of death.

Basically, you take hundreds of doses of Benadryl in order to feel a hallucinatory effect. It's even got its fucking name: the Benadryl Challenge. Unsurprisingly, people have been sent to the hospital and people have died over this. The doses they are taking are nothing to joke about, either - 10 to 20 pills.

Death through Benadryl overdose is no cake party. Apparently, the symptoms range from mild sleepiness all the way to coma, confusion, delirium, blurred vision, and an inability to piss because of dehydration. The worst case scenario is cardiac arrest, which is how most of the idiots who attempt this challenge end up dying.

The only thing that's worth joking about is the IQ of anyone who attempts the challenge. Seriously, these are teenagers (dumb fucking teenagers, but teenagers nonetheless) who should know better than to drug themselves.
What's next, the "do a flip off a building" challenge?

The only good thing about TikTok is that it's natural selection at work. It weeds out the actual human beings from the complete fucking idiots.

kids have been talking Benadryl and Robitussin in giant doses since erowid made its first post. Nothing new under the sun.

If you take it using things like Erowid as a reference you're unlikely to kill yourself, although robotripping has a vast array of negative side effects in general for the habitual user. It's probably worse than many outright illegal habits. Generally, the powers that be don't bother outlawing doing things like this because the unpleasant effects by themselves dissuade most casual users.

Dumb kids doing it based on dares from Tik-Tok are more likely to take a fatal dose accidentally and just not have any idea what they're doing.

The type who research their questionable buzz on Erowid/Bluelight and similar sites are usually at least guided by some reports and suggestions as to a rational dose.

I'll except the Something Awful druggies because while they also share such tips and stories, they apparently hear a goon do the dumbest thing imaginable and then try to outdo them in stupidity, e.g. phenazepam.

teenagers just see the drug name and "big dose gets you high" and run with it, though, no matter where they hear it. I'm pretty sure this predates the internet, overdoses of benadryl specifically.

fuck I had forgotten about phenazepam, that was entertaining to read about.

Charles Darwin strikes again. He's working overtime to rid the world of stupidity this year.

Toby Turner (a.k.a Tobuscus, washed up "content creator" who was metooed a few years ago and had his entire career destroyed and his private life exposed as a result) is questioning his gender identity and gender as a whole in this new video.

I mean, if he troons out, his alleged rapey past will be forgiven...

He seems pretty serious in the video. He also hearted some comments which are talking about trooning out.
