Last week Nick Rekieta cancelled his Friday night show in a bizarre fashion. Nick was 45 minutes late to his stream. After the intro played, Rekieta announced that he had a "very important personal issue that I have to deal with" and had to cancel his stream. He claimed that the personal issue emerged just before his show was scheduled to start at 11pm.
It was noticed that Rekieta was looking in the corner when discussing the personal issue that forced him to cancel the show, as if someone was sitting with him and that this person was related to the issue. In fact, it actually appears that Rekieta has been streaming with a person sitting silently in the corner for many of his streams in the past several weeks at minimum, going back to at least March.
Nick's corner guest had earlier slipped up on the previous Friday stream, most noticably when there was a short burst of noise which could have been from the mystery guest's phone playing something briefly. Nick also turned towards the corner when the guest appeared to have reacted to his playing with his chair and there was also noises of bottles being knocked around which potentially could have been caused by the guest.
Adding to the confusion, Nick has continued his pattern of lengthy bathroom breaks lasting as long as 15+ minutes, which he presents as checking on his wife and/or children. If not his wife, an alternate candidate would be former Steel Toe Morning Show co-host April Imholte, whose husband Aaron announced her permanent departure from STMS on a Sunday stream he did while not wearing a wedding ring, if not Aaron himself. Or maybe it's someone else?
