The trend has continued across Marvel's just-relaunched X-Men comics with Phoenix #1 and this week's NYX #1, which introduced major characters or plot points in online bonus scenes accessible only by third-party QR readers."It was a bonus page to begin with, an extra page — we didn't scale back the contents of X-Men #1 in order to do it," Marvel Comics VP Executive Editor Tom Brevoort explained on Substack.

"And it gave us a page whose contents we could conceal until the day of release, thus avoiding any early spoilers. You'll find that we're doing similar pages in most of the new X-launches."

"They're a little free bonus, a little extra — sort of a modern day equivalent of that 'Things To Come' page that ran in the first issue of the [Chris] Claremont/[Jim] Lee X-Men #1," the editor added, referring to the single splash page that ended the X-Men's '90s relaunch.

In a subsequent Substack post, Brevoort reiterated Marvel's anti-spoiler strategy and clarified that the bonus scenes would be inserted into the eventual collected editions.
"In this era of early spoilers, I love that this approach gives us the opportunity to hold onto some plot points right up until the day the title ships," Brevoort wrote. "So you'll see the pattern repeated in most of the other X-Launches of this era. We will include those pages in the eventual collected editions, though, for those who don't own a phone."

On July, 23, 2024 at 2032 hours, while assigned to z/c 2B32, we received a radio broadcast to respond the area of West 25 and
Queen for a known male, Andrew Ditch (Offender), crying and laying in the traffic roadway. During roll call, prior to our tour of
duty, we were advised by 2S32 Lt. Dunst #8542 that Andrew Ditch has been causing a major disturbance in the 2nd District by calling
for first responders and claiming that he has mental disabilities. We were advised that Andrew Ditch is a transplant from Tonawanda,
New York, and he has depleted all his resources from the New York suburb. Andrew has an extensive history of exhausting of public
services/resources in Tonawanda, New York.
Upon our arrival, along with CRTS2, Sgt. Brown #9328, we observed members of EMS #7 and Fire Engine #4 loading Andrew on to
a gurney and bringing him into the rear of EMS #7 wagon. At this time, it was brought to my attention that 2A34 responded to 1860
West 22 for Andrew Ditch (2024-212063) and Andrew was advised on scene. Andrew Ditch did not get the desired response from
public services and decided to lay in the street obstructing the roadway. Our original radio assignment was a Code 3 for Andrew
Ditch, but due to him knowingly entering the roadway and causing multiple traffic hazards and fracas, the assignment was upgraded
to a Code 1 and Cleveland Police, Cleveland EMS, and Cleveland Fire responded to the scene. Numerous residents of 2554 West 25
were also perturbed by the incident occurring outside of their building. Andrew Ditch was then conveyed to MetroHealth Hospital for
further treatment.
MetroHealth Hospital staff is familiar with Andrew Ditch because he previously spent approximately 80 hours under their
surveillance. Andrew Ditch was treated and discharged with nothing found to be wrong with him. While en route to MetroHealth
Hospital, Andrew soiled himself in the rear of EMS #7.
At MetroHealth Hospital, Andrew Ditch was given a clean bed and placed in a hallway awaiting further care. While Sgt. Brown
#9328 was advising Andrew's attending nurse of his history, Andrew seemed to be listening in on their conversation intently. Andrew
became extremely furious about the information that was being shared about him so he quickly rose from his bed and began throwing
a massive tantrum in an highly populated area of MetroHealth Hospital. Andrew began to scream and bang the back of his his head
against the wall. Myself and P.O. McNamara #683 then rushed to Andrew preventing him for further damaging himself, others and
property. Andrew then dropped to the ground and again attempted to smash his head on the ground. It took many officers to control
and care for Andrew due to his tirade and antics. Many nurses and patients in the hospital were startled at Andrew's wild outburst.
Andrew Ditch was calmed with many de-escalation techniques, brought to his feet, and handcuffed for the safety of himself and
others. Andrew was also provided a wheelchair for his comfort. At this point, P.O. McNamara #683 Mirandized Andrew and advised
him he was under arrest. from MetroHealth Hospital.
Andrew Ditch was then conveyed to County Jail where he was booked and housed. Andrew Ditch was medically cleared by County
Jail medical staff. County Jail staff was also advised of Andrew Ditch's checkered past.
