The New York Times published an article glorifying Hasan Piker which included a photo of his Twitch chat talking about raping and murdering IDF soldiers. Mere paragraphs later, the article praises his ability to moderate his community.

Hanannie, obnoxious australian tranny who is somewhat famous for creating Oldschool Runescape videos and as of late especially because of a couple of hit-pieces on a few other members of the osrs "content creation community" he had a personal interest in cancelling, is now being apparently Karl Jobst'd/sued by the vicitm of one of said hitpiece videos (DefyJ), in which he had been accused of sexual misconduct and other similarly unfounded, unproven claims.
We know this because he's now in full meltdown mode and is now streaming a retraction to the statements made in the video on a loop in his twitch channel, has said to be in a position where he cannot give any statements or public info, and many other (much more famous) osrs personalities are commenting on this retarded and entertaining situation.

In the more irrelevant side of YouTube Sungrand Studios "Jerrel Oliver" a self-proclaimed "professional game developer", "Voice of the gamers" and Nintendo shill who briefly gained attention after Asmongold reacted to one of his videos has been spiraling into lolcow territory.


A few weeks ago Sungrand uploaded (and deleted) a bizarre video defending the Switch 2's absurd pricing alleging Iwata would feel bad if you were mean to Nintendo. after receiving some backlash and ridicule from his audience he defended himself by telling us one of his friends had cancer, and somehow, this means YOU can't talk poorly of Nintendo, when the emotional manipulation didnt work he changed tactics, deleted his video and and made a New One where he proclaims himself to be the Voice of the Gamers and if you make fun of Him then he wont be able to save us, before finally, deleting that video too and claiming all of this was just "3D chess" to get the "negative people" to unsubscribe, Of course that video, was too, deleted.

This meltdown caught the attention of creators like Harmful Opinions and SmashJT, and people starting digging some of his 880 videos (Not a youtuber Btw) and other social media to find a history of embarrassing moments and some forgotten drama about the poor quality of his Shovelware-tier game and "game studio" that may actually just be Jerrel himself.

With Rekieta sentenced and the Balldoverse officially collapsed, I have closed the Rekieta board. It is likely he will just making boring fucking streams as his numbers dwindle forever. The last few threads have been moved out.

Hector Martin is back once again to cause drama in the open-source community, this time to the Wii/GameCube homebrewing scene by suddenly deciding to archive and cease all contributions to "The Homebrew Channel". For those who aren't aware, The Homebrew Channel is used to safely launch homebrew applications on the Wii and has been around since 2009 with no other well-known alternatives. For the past 16 years every modded Wii owner has used this app in one way or another.

So what did he find in the code that was so egregious to cause this to happen? Was it that the library used to compile, libOGC, had stolen code from Nintendo's SDK? No, in fact that has been an open secret that Hector has known about since 2008/2009. Rather what finally pushed Hector over the edge was that he found out the library used code from a nearly 30 year old open-source project, RTEMS, without giving proper credit. (those monsters)

Rather than try and resolve this privately, Hector decided to publicly blast the developers of libOGC (most of which weren't even around when the problematic part of the code was written) by opening an issue about it on their Github and then changing the README on HBC to have a giant disclaimer before making it read-only.

The Homebrew Channel, which was only made open-source in 2016, hasn't recieved any significant updates since 2017 and has been in a stable state for the longest time. Meaning that while as tragic as this may sound it literally does nothing to change anything about the Wii modding scene and only acts as another virtue signal for Hector. His allegations also puts nearly every single homebrew app for the Wii/GameCube under fire as this library is critical for homebrew development and there's not currently a working alternative for devs to switch to.
