You are American so you have many good choices for big, comfy seat. I recommend driver's seat from Cadillac DTS.

I've honestly thought about getting an old air ride seat from a semi truck.
Hooking up a compressor and building a stand for it seemed like a lot of work so I never got around to it.

Maybe some day.

I've pretty much just gone through a bunch of cheap office chairs. What I really need to do is re-organize my setup so it's more naturally ergonomic, including getting a solid chair, but I'm also going to go on the road in a few months so I feel like it might be pointless to do that.

For what it's worth this is supposed to be a really high end and ergonomic chair:

For anyone who can get their hands on one, Steelcase make the best office chairs hands down.
Find a used Steelcase, a Leap v2 with or without headrest. Best chair with damn good options for ergo.
That and a footstool for keeping posture yo.

I haven't done anything yet. There's no real consensus so I decided I should probably go to a store but I've been busy. My back is feeling better this week :)
To be fair, I've had all kinds of lumbar support chairs and what they accomplish can be done with a $10 pillow or a towel and a couple of pvc pipes just as easily. I think your concern should be focused more towards the cushion and neck. Only gamer chair I've ever seen that I cared about was one that had a massager in the back pillow thing. Shit's great for those of us with back injuries.
