That's about 60 pages. The Technical College of the Lowcountry isn't exactly Oxford, y'know.

Ah, come on Connor. No need to be like that. @Surtur is just trying to tell you that something that's only 1,000 words isn't exactly a massive text. Some people need to write and hand in 30k-50k word count papers to get their degrees and often you only get less than 3 months to do it.

The college I go to is quite literally in the middle of a corn field. When I have to write papers I have to make sure they adhere to APA/MLA format or it's an automatic failure. Ivy League =/= stricter standards, scrub.

dude thats like more than youve written in your life if you dont count kiwifarms.net posts

Not entirely true. I'd put the entirety of his Wrong Planet career close to 250,000 words based on sheer volume but an exact number will come at a later date.

To put that into perspective, The Fellowship of the Ring's is 187k words, A Game of Thrones's is 298k and the first two Dark Tower books are 183k.

This actually makes me look at my OWN posting history because with the volumes I've written on tards like Jordman and Chloe Sagal I could probably be more productive :(

People wasted 300 pages trying to give honest help and support to you, Connor.

Don't even act like you have the right to be butthurt about people changing their tune after the twelfth time.

I'm calm right now. I gave you what you wanted. You knew that it was unfinished and flawed. I attached it in the post at your request and out of generosity. The only thing keeping me from facepalming right now are the few members (Hi, @Smutley ) that don't resort to insult flinging and snobbery.

I don't even care about it being unfinished or flawed. I care about the fact it took you three weeks to get this much out. I'm not even trying to be a jerk about it, I know you can write more than this, and better than it. The amount of writing you've done in your post responses to us today already dwarfs what you did in most days of writing this paper. You can do better than this.

Do you ever put aside an amount of time per day to work on it?

Yes, I do.
Then why don't you put more effort into it? If it's something you love, you should take pride in doing your best possible work. Instead, you seem content with dragging your feet and putting in the bare minimum. I've never seen you actually try to revise something and make it better.

I don't think you actually like writing. I think you like the praise you (think you'll) get for it.
