Aside from all of the Puss4 exclusives the posters above me have mentioned, I'm deeply disappointed that there's been no mention of Bloodborne among those exclusives. Even if the Souls series isn't one's cup of tea, Bloodborne is objectively one of the best selling points for the Puss4.

But yes, if you're going for the Puss4, definitely look into shit like the Yakuza series. Admittedly, the lack of backwards compatibility does suck, and the Shitbone X being backwards compatible with original Shitbox games, as well as Shitbox 360 games is a good point in its favor, and I've been hearing good things about the Game Pass.

The Dual Shock 4 works just fine with my PC, without any fuss. I use steamlink to connect it, though. Not sure if that makes a difference.
I'd get PS4 for Persona 5.

I own both, and personally I prefer my Xbox One X over my PS4. Controller feels much nicer and the digital storefront, which is where I purchase most of my games now, is less cumbersome than PS4. Plus I also use their XBox Games Pass system which is only $10 per month and you get a slew of games to play. Not going to say it's the best lineup ever, but solid enough to justify $10 a month. Plus I get State of Decay and Crackdown 3 day one on the Games Pass (Yeah, Sea of Thieves too but... come on.). Also, as previously stated in the thread, the backwards compatibility is pretty keen-o as well, and they usually drop a "new" game or two into the backwards compat listings on a weekly basis (last week they dropped Saints Row 2, which made me all sorts of happy).

Now with the PS4, I bought that exclusively for the... well, exclusives and also the weeb shit that doesn't appear on the Xbox. So if your forte is stuff like Persona, Dandon...gon...rompastompaboowhatever, the latest David Cage exploitation game, and/or whatever third-person adventure they're hyping to hell and back this quarter, go for it.

I'm late to this and it seems swayed towards PS4 but yeah just get a PS4 for the better exclusives, games, social reasons etc. You can always buy an xbox controller just for pc (I did.) I think having a pc, ps4 and switch covers most bases. I'm biased though since I can't think of any xbox game i would care to play.

ps4.
you just get more games and support.
I mean, you've already got a pc, so why buy a console that has pretty much nothing unique to it, aside BC?
