Looks like a modern remake of Kill Bill just with 80s music. Nothing unique or visionary here. Just standard over-marketed Hollywood garbage masquerading as some hip independent film. As if Drive with its huge A-level celebrity cast was some super underground out of nowhere film that wasn't mass advertised at all nonstop for an entire year. And this comes from the same Hollywood connected group of losers.

This will get the same treatment from reddit faggots with the usual over the top language. "Empowering. Incredible. Showstopping". As if those have any meaning.

I'm excited for the soundtrack.
I think he is way too relent on sythwave. I like the music genre a lot, but when every movie is going to have a synthwave soundtrack regardless if it really fits then it feels thoughtless. John Carpenter used syth in his movies but would mix on other genres styles, and insterments more appropriate to the story like RnB, western twangs, rock, harmonicas, and pianos.

NWR knows how to incorporate synths into his films; Driver and Only God Forgives are great examples.

Of course, the music doesn't fit well if an incompetent director/music director/composer doesn't know when and where to use it.
