Medical gatekeeping?!? They do that with everyone, you ding dong. Some people, fat or thin, cannot handle hormones. Get your head out of your gargantuan ass.

I know one person who has had a gallbladder removal, and I think it is true that you have to avoid excess fats afterwards. But this person in question also doesn't eat that bad and eats reasonable portions, so she's never had major issues. But Corrissa undoubtably is eating in a way that makes her body work harder, even if she did have a functioning gallbladder. Kind of like in the case of a gastric bypass, you take anything out and do weird shit internally and you've got to be damn sure that you're watching what you're eating!

LOL, so Juliana is looking forward to her voice changing? She should know by now, having seen enough she-troons on T, that she's not going to get a deep, manly voice, but rather the broken croak of a perpetual adolescent. And, if she's genetically unfortunate, and male pattern baldness runs in her mother's side of the family, she can kiss those two little gray hairs goodbye.

If Julianna showed up at your house and wanted to use your shower, what would you do?

Bloodwork is a "gatekeeping situation", Yes checking to see if your already overworked liver is suffering under your Testosterone Uwu dreams of being a man is absolutely the work of the patriarchy...

That poor kitty... I want to rescue her, she almost certainly has a higher iq than both of them combined

Also she had it removed after 8 years (you are supposed to have an IUD removed after 5 years). Christ almighty, Corissa is a fucking mess...

I can see maybe forgetting when it needs to come out, and suddenly remembering a year later "oh shit, I should have it removed". But THREE YEARS? Wouldn't that be begging for an infection?

If it's hormonal, then a hormonal one would need to be replaced within 3-5 years depending on the brand (Mirena is often for five years, Skyla was for three I believe). Paraguard, the copper one, can be inserted for up to ten years (or that was what I heard ten years ago, keep in mind). It sounds like Corissa went "oopsies, this was overdue!" so I think she had a hormonal one. At any rate, she's begging to be the next deathfat with a hysterectomy if she had an expired IUD in her uterus for almost as long as some brands are supposed to be in. She's damn lucky she didn't get a deadly infection or perforate her uterus from it being in there too long. I also want to know how the fuck the gyno even got it in there, but I did know a Juliana sized chick that had Mirena back in the day. So obviously someone was able to insert it in there somehow.

tl;dr: yes that'd be begging for an infection

If J's gender dysphoria ever advances to thoughts of bottom surgery and that ultimate objective of F2M gender euphoria -- "standing to pee" -- there'd be that teenie-tiny issue of sorting past a ginormous pannus, keeping that propped up with a hoist, then rummaging around under a fat swingin' FUPA to locate the installation site of a $100K+ experimental cosmetic surgery boondoggle of a "true and honest" skin tube.*

However, considering the way her weight is progressing at present, J. soon might be moving right on past any hypothetical gender-tremder dream of "standing to pee" to find that what she's actually resigned to dreaming of is the "lost euphoria of simply standing."

* Not that any medical professional this side of a black-market, back-alley, crypto-currency only clinic in the wilds of rural Kazakhstan would approve J. for any kind of surgery,

Fortunately for us Juliana has tried to find a surgeon unethical enough to operate on someone with her weight, only to get turned down as she told us in this blog post.

Juliana Aprileo said:
Trans people are vetted before we can receive gender affirmation surgery. We have to prove that our gender dysphoria is real. We have to prove that medical intervention is vital to our wellbeing. Further, we have to show that we’ve been living as our “true gender” in public for at least a year prior to accessing services. We talk about these criteria openly in trans spaces. Oftentimes our spaces include helpful resources of therapists who will make the process as easy as possible for trans folks. What we rarely talk about is the BMI criteria for surgery. Surgery is considered too risky for people with a BMI over 30.
Juliana Aprileo said:
Sometimes folks do talk about the BMI requirement in trans support spaces. Trans folks boast of finally finding a surgeon who did not act as a gatekeeper to their medical care and for a moment, I feel hope. The issue here however, is that the most progressive of surgeons will make exceptions for the BMI requirement, allowing folks up to a BMI of 35 or 36 to access care.
This is wildly discouraging for someone like myself, with a BMI of over 90. What are my chances of finding a doctor who’s willing to go so far for me?
Juliana Aprileo said:
But my inclination is that this BMI cutoff exists because medical professionals are ultimately, incompetent. Doctors lack training on fat bodies. Fat people are considered too risky to operate on. Our fat bodies suffer the consequences.
In short, even if Juliana has not reached out directly to a doctor's office, she has definitely been putting out feelers in trans SM spaces for a very long time. She is also lying that the BMI is to cover for ineptitude, anesthesia is inherently very risky on obese patients. According to Null the criteria for any surgery is "the surgery must be less likely to kill the patient than whatever it is meant to treat" which was why Chantal only got a hysterectomy years after her ovarian cyst diagnosis.

Edit: I know it's not happening but Juliana going to some country with ultra-lax medical oversight like Mexico or Brazil for top surgery (you know there are surgeons down there willing to operate on a woman with BMI 90, just so long as she pays up-front and the check clears) would be a thing of beauty. We'd get the gushy "gender euphoria" blog posts and then we'd get to see those slowly give way to horror and regret as she realized the "progressive", "fat friendly" doctor was a quack and the locals were NOT being friendly when they crossed themselves while saying "Madre de Dios".

As if Juliana’s T. rex arms could even reach that far.
