Aren't her pronouns they/them? Misgendering is a hate crime for that crowd.

Edit: I'm confused why Corissa hasn't been woke-lynched.
If you're referring to the last pic, that is J's Instagram post, not Corissa's. J is calling Corissa a she which, as far as I know, are Corissa's "correct" pronouns.

When I started this insta and my blog I wanted to be a resource for plus size fashion, but as we’ve gained options in the plus size market I’ve seen so many of you struggle with the same things that I’ve been through - You told me how it feels like sometimes your body is at war with the other values in your life and occupies too much brain space. You expressed the same fears that I’ve faced in building confidence and believing in yourselves. You’ve shared that the societal pressures sometimes feel like too much to navigate

I really thought I would be talking about fashion on instagram for forever, but it felt like there was something MORE to talk about. It felt like fashion and access to clothing was just scratching the surface

I’m feeling v proud of this new venture, and I hope ya’ll will be proud of it too. It’s so easy for those of us posting photos on IG to say “love your body! Be confident!” without asking what is REALLY holding you back? So what are you missing from the conversations about fashion and body acceptance? What sticks out to you as a missing puzzle piece in your path to body liberation?
Corissa can look at someone like J (or herself, ffs) and seriously ask what's holding her back, like she just needs some self-acceptance and self-perception tweaks and minor adjustments to be happy and healthy and whole when she can't even fucking walk, get up from the ground, or wash herself. J is visibly dying, but hey, we need to talk about Yitty's unacceptable sizing and how to travel while fat (RIP, Adrienne Bennett). This BS is akin to asking a hoarder why the city is pressuring him to clean and repair his house full of 12 dogs and their shit, thousands of moldy boxes piled up to the ceiling, rotten food covering every surface, and broken plumbing before he invites people over to throw a huge anniversary party for his wife. What's the pesky missing puzzle piece between severe pathology and a meaningful existence? Material reality, what's that?

Ironically, people like Corissa and J do need to have conversations about their values, fears, and limitations, but solely in the context of treating their compulsive overeating.

Anyway, Corissa really comes across as a wannabe woo-woo feel-good dipshit sometimes. After reading this trash rhetoric, I think she may actually be shocked to find J dead one day.

But if she finds J dead she could now say it was a product of not only systemic fatphobia, but transphobia as well. Double go fund me $$!

Oh FFS... 'beached whale was something thrown at me, but whales are powerful, beautiful creatures so now I take it as a compliment!'

They're not calling you a whale, dumbass. They're calling you a dying whale that's flopping uselessly on land where none of its grace or majesty matter, and it's just broiling to death in the sun under the weight of its own blubber.

But hey, if one's not willing to fix oneself, may as well embrace the obvious negative and spin it with some mental gymnastics into something you feel you can tolerate, I suppose.

If mental gymnastics were equivalent to actual gymnastics, this bitch would be a legitimate Hyper Gymnasia sufferer, I swear.

Edit: fixed a typo.

Recap of the Free Course:
  • Unit 1: The 5 Lies We’ve All Been Told About How to Create Body Confidence
    • She says shes been posted about in Cosmo and stuff and that she is so famous.
    • Lie 1 : Fake it Until you Make it.
      • She states this is bullshit and that you won't make it unless you "learn to be confident" which of course entails taking her paid course.
    • Lie 2 : Just Love Your Body
      • You can't love your body 100% of the time because you need to deal with pain and loss of mobility as you gain weight. Yes she actually thinks loss of mobility is fine...
    • Lie 3 : Push Yourself Outside Your Comfort Zone
      • She blames society for this and wanting to make you uncomfortable. She has ideas on how to help with this but......You guessed it gotta buy the course.
    • Lie 4 : You'll be confident after you....(Lose weight, change your body, change your diet)
      • This is just a way to get societal acceptance and in no way helps you.
    • Lie 5 : Power of Positive Thinking
      • This does not help because society has given us harmful interalized judgements that we must change.
  • Unit 2: AVOID THIS TRAP!: Why You Shouldn’t Try to ‘Love’ Your Body
    • "You don't have to love your body to beleive its worthy of respect."
      • You should strive for neutrality instead.
    • Questions to ask yourself about why loving your body and not neutrality.
      • Tip 1 : "Who benefits from the belief you should love your body?"
        • Cilture beleifs and society want you to love (read as hate) your body and not be neutral about it.
        • Beliefs that make you feel negative about your body or upset you should be ignored.
        • When feeling negative ask yourself:
          • "Is there some giant mega=corporation profitting off me feeling this way?
          • "Our ideas about our bodies serve others and not us."
      • Tip 2: Practice Neutral Reframes
        • "Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you were someplace your body wouldn't fit?"
          • "I'm too fat to ride the roller coaster" becomes "The ride wasn't made for my body type."
            • (Shifting the blame the HAES way to deal with being too fat to do anything.)
    • Any obstacle you run into because of your size does not mean your body isn't worthy or valuable.
  • Unit 3: The Secret Recipe for ‘Full Circle Confidence
    • "Full Circle Confidence is the state of having your body balanced with other pillars in your life."
      • This 5 pillar framework will make your body and confidence become one...
    • Pillar 1 : Self Actualization
      • Self worth and love come together to sustain your body confidence (through absolute denial of your body being the size of a small planet)
    • Pillar 2 : Intimacy
      • Physical, Emotional and Sex intamacy are needed to enrich the relationship with ones body.
    • Pillar 3 : Family
      • Navigating relationships with genetic and chosen familes.
        • Trauma, unmet needs and negative ideas about bodys can cause friction between families.
    • Pillar 4 : Work
      • Re-evaulate meaning and purpose of work in regards to a person's body.
    • Pillar 5 : Holistic Nourishment
      • Feeding mind and body.
    • This is a non-threatening approach to loving your body.
    • Her course will gently realign your pillars and body.
    • Shill Shill Shill course Shill Shill for the last 10 minutes or so.

Now there is a paid version "Full Circle Body Liberation" Course:

"When feeling negative ask yourself:

Says the woman who regularly gets lip fillers and drowns her every negative feeling and emotion with food made by "giant mega corporation". Cognitive dissonance at its finest *chef's kiss*

Holy shit her face:

It looks like a chemical burn. Like Corissa, for real this time, get your fucking skin checked out.
Nah, the mean dermatologist would give her awful advice like "stop drinking gallons of Dr Pepper each week" and "wash your face with a gentle cleanser at least once a day, preferably in the evening."

When Corissa bragged about unclogging the toilet "filled with poop", I'm leaning towards the shit coming from Juliana. Corissa still wants to be dainty and femme, as evidenced by her posting about getting "toots" (as opposed to farts or braps) from kimchi, so it makes much more sense for this to be a passive aggression towards Juliana than it is for it to be a boast about how big a shit Corissa can take.
