The logical counterpoint to this is somehow MAGA managed to MKUltra a California Democrat with an extensive family and a teaching job into assassinating the president and arranged for him to bum-rush a security checkpoint. CNN of all channels has reported that it's likely he planned this attempt by booking a room at the Hilton months prior to the event which would explain how he was on the premise without going through security checkpoints prior to being in the building. The Hilton still operates as a normal hotel even with the ballroom filled to the brim with Whitehouse peeps.

I'm more thinking about just calmly walking down the hallway for just long enough to get out of the Secret Service's immediate perimeter before they realize that they fucked up. Sprinting up the corridor on your suicide mission is far less likely to work out than being enough of a cool cucumber for security to only think "wait what the fuck" after it's too late.

The fact that he was out of frame before the secret service people even reacted makes me think their metal detector setup was deficient or non existent. Security was obviously subpar in one or more ways. It's honestly a miracle nobody has killed Trump yet considering the structural deficiencies and likely treason within that body.
