We need to slowly start assessing the question of whether our media are not just habitually corrupt, but causally corrupt.
Are our mainstream media - public broadcasting, press, online media - corrupt all across the board?
Well, you're gonna say, and maybe yawn while doing it, we've known that for a long time, it's nothing new. But I mean, corrupt in a different sense than previously assumed.
So far, my impression of media and the overwhelming majority of the many "media makers", as I have witnessed them in conferences and the rare attempts at collaboration, is that they are primarily dumb, uneducated, thickheaded, social failures, and only corrupt as a consequence of those attributes. Corrupt in the sense of a position mafia that gives each other positions and fills up its bags, and corrupt in the sense that, in exchange for tithes, they write what the client wants them to write. I have thought them corrupt for a long time, but primarily stupid and secondarily corrupt, or corrupt as a consequence.
Now I'm wondering if it's the other way around. Whether they're primarily corrupt and secondarily dumb, or dumb as a consequence.
There are many people, and many people write to me about that, who are deeply convinced and follow the rule (and recommend or expect others to follow it) that you should not assume a conspiracy when events can be explained by stupidity.
I consider that wrong. Because it makes you blind to conspiracies, and experience teaches us that most conspiracy theories are at least right in principle, because there are more conspiracies than anything else. And you are making it extremely easy for you by wanting to explain everything through simple stupidity, and reject every complex explanation or assessment, because it is just very, very easy to declare all of them to be stupid and thus presuppose an extremely simple, zero-dimensional universal explanation for everything and anything. Closely related to the stance of considering everything to be lies and fake. All of that sounds smart and superior at first glance (and right now I'm thinking if one can even "hear at first glance", but I think that should be rhetorically passable as an analogy), but ultimately, it is nothing but a refusal to think for more than 2 cents or go beneath the surface. "They're all stupid, that is enough of an explanation, so there exists no other" is very simple and very lazy. I don't like this approach. There exist conspiracies and evil intent. And you can't just sweep it under the rug by simply declaring everyone to be stupid, in order to avoid looking at causal relationships. A bit like whistling past the graveyard.
Because, if you look, and it's just the beginning, because we're just in the second week (or the just-started third week) of Trump's term, at what kind of machinations by the "deep state" and "USAID" are coming to light, you can assume that Germany is extremely deeply corrupted and remote-controlled.
And then we are no longer at the point where the media are primarily dumb and, as a side effect, also corrupt.
It's the other way around.
Then the media are a corrupt propaganda complex that, to fulfill its purpose, primarily hired and converted stupid people. Then it isn't corruption following stupidity, but the stupidity serves the corruption.
Now the stance that the media are all fake anyway isn't new, many people have casually said it for a long time, but rather at a bar debate level in order to not look deeply into anything. I used to know someone (no longer alive) who loved using the phrase "They're all criminals ... ". But, intellectually, there was not much behind it, it was more to assure himself that you're not wrong, but the others are of an evil mindset, as an explanation.
You need to beware of coming up with such explanations in order to get something like a standpoint aid via pseudo-reasoning.
No, I mean it seriously, as a working hypothesis and research task.
Are the mainstream media corrupt as a whole? Completely?
Is there more behind it than a general desolation of character, in which everybody does their own local little corruption, but is there a central structure and steering unit?
And is it not just simply a quasi-automatic consequence of corrupt relations that they give each other positions and therefore everybody is left/green, but an effect controlled by the USA, a desired and ordered ought?
And how do these corruption channels go? How do money and orders flow?
What we know:
Are we thus not just having a media landscape that has been infused with corruption, but one that has been built and ordered by corruption?

What we know:
- The federal government [of Germany] keeps being in there, always keeps appearing as a direct or usually indirect financier, and be it through expensive, but useless and content-less advertisements as decoys. And the staff relationships between press and government (government speakers) are always extremely ballsy.
- People like Soros and Gates keep appearing as financiers.
- The directions of the "Neue Deutsche Mediamacher", financed by the federal government and Soros, in the back room at a NDR conference while the ones in front, on stage, make their jokes about people who assume that television is being controlled by the government, I wrote about that already.
- The media supervision and involvement of parties in public broadcasting and the press are horrifying.
- Inappropriately high salaries, grants, severances, pensions for attitude journalists.
- Is "attitude journalism" a stealth term for "belonging to the group"?
Are we thus not just having a media landscape that has been infused with corruption, but one that has been built and ordered by corruption?
