So... I have found that this food is extremely divisive. You are either a person who eats it with pepper, or a faggot who eats it with fruit. Even among the military this held true. It made the soda vs. pop argument seem quiet and well mannered. So I wanted to see what Kiwis thought just for my own entertainment.

Cottage cheese is disgusting regardless of what you put it on.

I love this stuff. Especially when seasoned with salt and pepper. I'll even sometimes mix it with pico de gallo!

Wow, what? Somehow, I have never heard of anyone eating cottage cheese with pepper. I always eat it with fruit.

All wrong. You put ketchup on buttered toast and then dip it into your cottage cheese.

...and you pepper it a bit. I think this was my favorite snack as a kid.

It's the other way around for me. Was raised having cottage cheese with veggies and a dash of pepper, never even occurred to me to try it with fruit

My roommate eats it with dill, tomatoes and a dash of olive oil / fruits such as blueberries, plums and strawberries.
Personally, I only add black pepper.

You can make it taste like a dessert if you add some cinnamon and sweetener after you warm it up. People doing the low carb thing do this with artificial sweetener. I like it on it's own though and think it tastes amazing but then again I like all cheeses.

I love adding cottage cheese to my scrambled eggs. I learned this in Home Economics in high school and always scramble eggs this way. Just whisk the cottage cheese in with a fork and add some salt/pepper/green onions to it. They turn out light, creamy, and savory. Give it a try.
