I admire the spirit of everything SpaceAce wrote. I don't think its going to be enough but I'm just a voice in the ether and if the views are predominantly of this nature then that's the end of that I guess. I would rather for them not to own the entire open internet as a space for their degeneracy in the information age. I don´t own a cottage in the woods, I don´t have enough land to be self-sustainable nor do I want to disconnect and forfeit this space.

But maybe, it's more healthy in a way anyway.

Its not an analogy to the farms, its an analogy to the post-farm / post internet 1.0 era. The story itself is different, but its the ending thats the analogy. And he made the comparison that the chad is the guy laughing at the retards. Well we would all be that blob at that time, with no place to congregate, our laughter would echo in a space where only we can hear it (or as someone suggested, a small portion of us) being censored, algorithmically de-listed or de-platformed.

If you think Elon disrupted Twitter and social media like Trump disrupted politics, you're retarded. Well, actually, maybe not.

You see, not often do you see a major social media site suddenly being ran by a non obese billionaire version of Wings, i.e. someone who's really incompetent and has a fragile ego, banning or firing anyone who hurts his ego in a meaningful enough way. He's eccentric, but not in a funny way.

He's just an autistic manchild with a lot of money who would probably end up being some 4chan jannie or perhaps some admin on another forum if it weren't for his dad's emerald mine. How retarded do you have to be to enable impersonation for just 8 dollars per month? Jewsh would probably do a better job at running Twitter! And he's just some random Jew in Burgerland (or is he in Serbia now?).

He actually fired some experienced techie at Twitter because he gave him advice that was other than what Elon expected! Just like Wings was banning people giving him advice!
Oh, and apparently when one poll didn't get the results he hoped for, he redid the poll...and got ratioed even harder!

He also fired a ton of the moderation staff. And started complaining about muh SJWs when advertisers smelled the dumpster fire in the making and bailed. Even without his recent dabble into the schizo side of right wing politics he turned Twitter into a mess. Twitter isn't 4chan that you can get away with such a mess.

In the real world there is a need for order, which is supposed to be enforced by rules and moderation. Key word "supposed to", as WingsOfRedemption style rules and moderation have nothing to do with order.

And he already gave up and allegedly got bailed out by some Qataris (???) for it. Trump at least lasted 4 years. But I guess we now know what happens when a 4channer with lots of money buys a mainstream social media site and tries to run it almost like a more complex version of 4chan. So in that sense, it really was a disruptive event!
