Could this be real?

The design of that card is uncommonly visually appealing and logical for Chris.

So it simply must be too good to be true...
But why go through the effort of making a fake business card just to show off to tumblr, of all places?

I call bollocks. With that said I could totally see Chris' business cards being like this.

So it simply must be too good to be true...

Because people take pride in stupid ass shit.

I'm not really attempting to comment on whether the card and accompanying anecdote are authentic or not. The font choice, if nothing else, seems typically Chris.

It doesn't mention autism, sweethearts, or trolls. Also, no semicolons. I don't buy it.

No. Chris hates being approached in public, wants nothing to do with other men, and lacks the intelligence, means or initiative to design and produce a "business card" of this quality. Also, Tumblr users are full of shit.

The only thing I can think of is if there's a service somewhere that will do this for you? Like an application that lets you print out little mii business cards to share with people so you don't have to write contact information down from scratch when you meet someone.

It also might make sense for him to give out cards to people if he wants friends to unlock stuff in certain games. I know in Bravely Default, there's a sort of mini-game that involves rebuilding the town, and the more people you have on your friends list, the faster your stuff gets built.

How many of those does he have (if this is legit), I wonder? Who's he expecting to give them out to? Is he just going to stand inside a Wal-Mart or something and pass them out like he's one of the greeters?

Well, there's nothing particularly new or interesting on the card, making it less likely to be a ruse. On the other hand, this might just be a really uncreative ruseman.

The image seems really, really familiar. Like, as in that picture is from somewhere else and then they took it and wrote a post to accompany it. I would swear that I've seen that picture before.

Yeah, the picture may be real. But the story isn't. Too short and no distinctive points.

Chris HAS printed up business cards before (he mentioned he couldn't change his number because IT WAS EVEN ON HIS CARDS) but this is probably not true

It sounds like something he'd say and do. This was posted like one month after the fire so Chris was slightly relevant again in that time period which is quite the coincidence so .. I don't know. In the end it doesn't really matter that much. It's like making up a story by saying "Guys, I met Chris and he avoided eye contact and he wore what looked like second-hand clothes! He also looked annoyed!".
